  1. Got it! Thank you roadster-ka and datzenmike
  2. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10203120473050894&l=bd1718b190 Are these the correct wires? they look like they are the same cluster of wires that go to my trunk. They are both red/black stripe. So I just connect those to the reverse switch at the tranny and (fingers crossed) it should work? Thanks for your help!
  3. Are you saying the 2 wires just need to be connected to a power and ground? Possibly.
  4. Hi I have a 71 Datsun 510. The reverse lights don't work. I located the reverse switch on the transmission. The 2 wires don't go to anything and no wires are near it. I have a Haynes manual but I can't figure out how to properly wire the switch. I would like to wire it the way it's supposed to be, but if I can't pointers on rigging it would help. Either way thanks in advance.
  5. Other than an Isuzu Pup what is another compatible filler neck hose I can use that has the proper bend in it? I can't find one. Thanks in advance.
  6. Finally solved the problem... 2 things were going on. First I had a fried piece of copper on the gauge circle. I also had a faulty regulator. Hope this maybe helps the next person.
  7. Please help. My gauge lights, fuel/temp gauge and turn signals stopped working recenty. My horn works but has its own power supply... this was done by the previous owner. I was hoping that someone can tell me which fuses to check as I also don't have the plastic plate which labels the fuses. I've tried looking for wiring diagrams but the first 2 I found gave me 2 different answers. Can someone help before I pull out all my hair. Thanks.
  8. DatzenMike. Yes tail lights and break lights work. Dash lights do not. I don't have a dimmer switch my headlight switch only pulls out. It doesn't rotate to dim.
  9. Shacks510 where is the ground you are talking about. Is there a ground that is in the picture dgi posted or the wire. Since the day or so that I posted this. I took the panel off checked again the fuses and still the same issue. Playing with all this did pop the tail light fuse but replacing the fuse brought back the tail lights still don't have dash lights. I forgot to mention I have LED lights in the dash. From superbrightleds.com that I heard about on Ratsun. Don't think that should matter but maybe it does. Thanks again!
  10. Hi like it the title I have a 71' Datsun 510 with a Dash Gauge Light problem. When I am driving at night my Hazard Lights will flicker dimly intermittently, additionally my Dash Gauge Lights will come off and on while I'm driving (I'll hit a bump they work/ I hit the next bump they don't). They are more off than on at this point. To me it seems like a bad Ground but I don't know where the Ground would be located. I'd rather have an idea of where it is before I start taking apart my Dash to chase wire. Can you tell me where the Ground is located or if you think this is something else? Things that work: Headlights Taillights Brake Lights Turn Signals Things I've done Changed all Fuses Tried another light switch/ I tried a switch I bought from a friend and I get the same results. Things that don't work: High Beams but I think that is related to the Turn Signal Arm, it doesn't stay in the High Beam position as of a month ago. This is my first post on this forum sorry if it's in the wrong place. I tried to put in all the details I can think of. Thanks in advance!
