  1. Thanks for the input everybody. I really wouldn't have thought of looking at the dealer for these types of parts so I'm glad to hear that some are still available. I'll be checking there more often now. And I totally agree with you Datzenmike, Whatever it takes to keep the old iron on the road is what I plan to do. This is my daily driver and I drive it to work and back every day to the tune of 250 miles a week. Last summer I totally rebuilt the front suspension, brakes, clutch, exhaust, put a ultra low mileage L20 (40,000) and 5 speed from an '81 donor rig. The only thing I did to the engine besides a good cleaning is adding a Weber carb. She runs like a dream and all I have left to do is the cosmetic stuff to get her looking the way I want. (I was thinking suede black paint with silver grill, bumpers, and rims.) Any thoughts? Anyway its nice to have a group like this one helping out with ideas and moral support. Thanks again
  2. Hello everybody, I'm brand new to Ratsun.net and this is my breaking in post. I've got a 78 620 and I have found that the parts for it are either easy to find and cheap to buy, or they are extremely hard to find. For instance the little bushing that holds the wiper linkage to the motor drive broke and I have looked in all the obvious places ( ebay, rock auto etc.) with no luck. I really don't want to get one from a wrecking yard if I can help it. Also hoods and grills are pretty easy to find, but the piece of molding that attaches to the hood that completes the grill is non existent. Does anyone have a good source for these types of parts. Thanks in advanced for any help.
