I kinda had the same problem with my z. I ended up making a box and used the cargo straps to hold it down. A pair of 6x9 make a big difference

check your plugs and see what color they are ...that will give you a clue

Here is the final product guys, This has been an amazing learning experience, people said painting was hard and blah blah blah....well painting is not hard it just takes patience and lots of prepping...while my paint job may not be perfect its a HUGE improvement to what the car used to look like :D and im impressed with my self, specially being my first paint job.

Resprayed primer one last time...wetsanded today and hopefully ill be done friday with the base and clear

Im not familiar with fiberglass, but i assume that you have to bondo over that too right? I sanded the rust with 80, i thought 40 would be too coarse. I know ideally all the panels would be replaced or metal would be welded on and what not but I dont have the time or money or skill to do that.

I found a hood that is in better shape than mine was (notice all the rust holes in the first pic)

Ive decided to paint the car over the summer, it is a tremendous task to undertake but ive decided that there is only one way to learn.... the car has tons of rust, the rear, the quarters the fenders and the doors are all rotted. Im doing this the wrong way..bondo. here it is before any work day 1 bondo.....

no it also came in a 5 speed believe it or not, the guy had 7 of them he was a true collector...i just got 1 engine from him... ill go back and get another one and get the front suspension off the car.

pics would help...side markers are usually on the side......not on the lip...do you mean the ones off the grill?
