  1. Thx. May be the route I'm heading.
  2. quik510. Yes, they have been cut out. Actually cut and pounded into a mess. Lucky me.
  3. I figured that is what I would have to do. But, I am not a welded of a fabricator (more a McGyver) type, so things like that can be tough. Automotive Panel Craft in Australia makes them. Seeing what they can do.
  4. Hey all, My current project is replacing my worn out seats. Well, who looks at the seat bases when they buy a car.... well, not me. Anyway, I find out the mounts originally spot welded to the body have been cut out/pounded flat. WTF I say. SO I am asking for an assist. Anyone have seats out that can measure the height the mounts are supposed to be? Lside front back side side etc (four measurements on each seat)?? I am not so concerned with height because I can adjust up and down, my concern is the angle of the floor and height difference between left and right, front to back of each seat. What have you all used to mount if you are/were in the same spot as me (no original mounts)? THanks to all in advance.
  5. I realize it has been quite some time since you did this project..... but, it is one I am tackling now. How did you work out the ground highbeam issue?
  6. That is what mine looks like, but with the blocks. HOW DO I ADD A PICTURE???
  7. Using the EZ, where did you put the fuse block? Same place as the old or on the left kick pnl area as instructions say??
  8. Honestly, I can't figure out how to paste a pic here. Basically, the body mounds were cut out and replaced with four alum. blocks, bolted through the floor and the tracks bolted to it. i am just interested in what other people are doing if not using the old mounts.
  9. Heya, I am to the point where I need to replace the seats in the dime. Here is where I need a bit of help. What I pulled out, as far as brackets, is not what I remember from back in the day as OE. I have aluminum blocks, 2-3 inches high holding the seats off the floor. I remember, back in 1980 and my first 510, there being some sort of spot welded mountings?? Can someone confirm I am missing those mountings? What are your suggestions for my next seat/mounting? I plan to try and strengthen what I have and use them again. If someone has done something different I would love to hear your tale, see some pictures, and problems encountered.....
  10. A little help? I just picked up a 510, after a 25 plus year lapse in judgment. My first 510, in 1980, I had the rear end slotted....I had it done, didn't do myself. Now, in possession of another car, I thought to myself, get it slotted. No clue where to start. Not many shops around these days to help a old man out. Someone educate me as to the different ways / best way? Thanks,
