I have confirmed that I need an internal spring and washer for my fuel pump... Anyone happen to have an extra lying around? Will pay. Thank you.

I think I just found my issue. I have no spring! I thought the spring was in the lower housing, but it appears from a post in 311's.org that it belongs on this piece between the lower seal and the diaphragm assembly. Anyone know a good source for the spring and washer seal?

Hello all, First post, just finally got going on my Roadster rebuild. Quick intro, The roadster was my grandmother's then my dad's, now it is mine! In my life (33 yrs) it had not run, until last week. My dad has hauled it around the country with him and gave it to me 2 years ago. I finally got a little money and time to work on it. Very excited. 1970 1600 with a 1968 2000 engine and 5 speed slapped in it. The problem: I bought a fuel pump rebuild kit, with the spacer. It does not pump fuel. Currently when we install the diaphragm it is very loose in the pump housing. I can hold the black ring and lift the diaphragm while it is in the lower housing and feel it being pulled down and released up. With no diaphragm I can see the little arm moving up and down while cranking the engine. My thoughts/questions: Could the metal "T" be too long? Pic included with measurement in cm. Which way does the bottom rubber go? Is there a difference in the fuel pump between the 1600 and 2000 that would cause a problem? Which way does the bottom rubber go on? pics 1 and 2 Any other ideas?
