  1. I havent junked it yet, not enough time and am in the middle of a divorce. I do need to sell it as a whole if I can.
  2. Any offers? It will be scrapped out and the good stuff sold as parts like the webers and engine stuff. The rest goes to the scrapyard for metal scrap price. No shipping the larger items though.
  3. Ok, its for sale again. Dont have the money to finish it or the money to buy the tools to do it all myself. Obviously wont have a lot of luck here since most are in the NW USA but owrth another shot.
  4. Forgot all about that. The one guy in the post said he was going to get an auto trans 710 and swap a stick in it and he never got back with me and I geuss I never came back when he didnt reply later. I do now have the right crossmember at least. I will try to get measurements on the bolt pattern on the yokes but I still have no idea how long the shaft needs to be. The flanges should be the same though, mainly the length of the shaft is what matters most since I can swap flanges with the original 710 shaft.
  5. Is that a Hayabusa in the garage I see(tail end)? I have a black 09 Busa. Nice job on the 240, I have a beater 93 coupe with a 5 speed. Its ugly but it runs great and the AC even works well with 177K on the car.
  6. Only DOHC 2 valve engine I know of is the Toyota 2T-G engine, but its only a 1.6 liter, lol.
  7. The ribbed belt would have to be on a fairly straight shot on both pulleys to prevent excess wear or breakage. Could always extend one of the shafts to make both pulleys line up ok.
  8. Make sure the block doesnt stick out too far. On some gear drives the block needs to be ground down a little bit to clear the upper gear. Test fit the gear drive and look at the upper areas, that is where they normally interfere. Its a quick and easy fix though.
  9. You can run high lift cams on stock heads checking the things you stated but its a waste of time with the 305 heads, which you allready know. They will have higher velocity ports now so that the low end will have more power though. The smaller ports will have faster velocity which is good for low end power but will choke it off at top end but if youre not racing it it wont matter. One other thing you need to check if using stock replacement rocker arms is the size of the slot where the stuf goes through. Make sure you either get the elongated slot or aftermarket roller tip(or better, full roller rockers)to solve that problem as well as reducing friction. Just swapping over to Vortecs with the updated rocker arms(Vortecs use self aligning rockers) will make a bug difference later on.
  10. If you werent 2000 miles away it would allready be at my place.
  11. If you want a over 260 hp V6 and not have to do anything to it get the VG35DE or even better the new 370Z VG37DE or whatever its called, lol. Wont be cheap or extremely easy but if you have the money/time it would be pretty cool to have.
  12. I had a similar set up in an 83 El Camino, basic stock 350 shortblock with dished pistons but had the Vortec head kit on it. Had a Performer RPM intake and a Speed Demon 750 double pumper(Holley 4150 carb but better) and a decent cam. You can get the vortecs made for higher lift cams now, when I bought mine I couldnt go higher than a .470 lift. Even with the milder cam it had a nice lope to it and had plenty of balls. If you go with the Vortecs and the cam, get a better intake, at leasst the Performer RPM with its raised runners and a bigger carb. 500 CFM is too small for a built 350 with a bigger cam and headers. A 650 would be a decent size. I never had a lot of luck with the Edelbrocks(Carter clones), they would run great but would heat soak and puke gas out the vents on a hot engine and flood it out. Be hard to satrt after sitting a little bit on a hot engine. I had to use a heat sheild/spacer to solve that problem. Always had the best luck with the Holley 4150 carb, mainly the double pumpers. The Q jets in tuned form are good to and have tha cool sound when the hge secondaries open up, lol. I had a 72 C20 also with a 350 and three on the tree. Was a nice truck and did the intake and carb on it along with a conversion to a racing HEI set up.
  13. Does it have the huge parking bench bumpers or the smaller ones? Any pictures of the car? If it was a wagon Id be buying the tail lights and more.
