Quick update: The shell is at my body shop getting the floor pans replaced. Turns out the rockers and some of the quarters were rotted as well so they will be getting replaced. In the mean time I started work on the wheels on my spare time. Bought the wheels off Ebay a while back. 2 14x8 -15 black ssr mk3 and 2 14x7 0 offset gold. I was planning to put these on '70 Corolla but decided to use these on the dime instead. I made sure these were still true and slapped on some tires I found laying around the shop to check if they hold air. Everything looked good so I decided to strip the paint that the PO did. Normally I would send these out to my wheel guy but I want to try to do everything myself if possible. 14x7 before after turns out these were originally gold then painted silver then purple then black then silver again and then gold. lol could barely read the speedstar stamped on the wheel. 14x8 before after these were silver and then painted black Not sure what color I'm gonna paint them yet. Any suggestions? I plan to paint the shell a pearl green.

I was sent to the state ref once when I had a 98 S14 with a RB25det. I just paid the ticket and never showed up to the ref and it wasn't a issue.

Thank you paradime, lonestar, and tra8er for the feed back. I am sorry for not clarifying. I have been building cars since 1998. How many years of experience is that? This is "my" first datsun project but I have built several for other people. The dime was actually a trade from a customer for some work on his car. It comes with the bre "style" fender flares, a blown L16 motor, 280z front suspension, and 240sx front brakes. The SSR MK3s came from another project and happen to fit almost perfectly. The rears are 14x8 with a -15 offset while the front are 14x7 with a 0 offset. I found some rubbers laying around and will post pics when I can. I want a super fun daily driver. I have already yanked out the stock L and plan to go s13 sr20det. Just picked up a set of ssr mk3 and can't wait to finish the body work so I can slap them on. Besides that its an open canvas.

New to the forum. Here are some pics of my 510 project. I have always been a car enthusiast but this is my first datsun project. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. First step for this baby is body work. Replacing the floor pans as we speak.
