thanks guys but not sure what a dropping resistor ceramic deal is. it is fuel injected, and it is mainly white smoke at idle and black when reved. there what some gas in the oil when i got it as well but think it just got mixed in because its not firing all the cylinders or to much fuel getting in. also about the AFM i had taken it out yesterday to see if it was dirty and it looked pretty clean but the flap was a bit sticky and would not move freely i did not know if it was supposed to be that way or not. Then i put it back in and it started running high idle around 2000rpm and would not go down so i took the AFM off again and messed with the flap again and then it was back to 800rpm, so do u think it is the AFM cause the flap is a bit sticky. also the car was sitting for a couple of years before i got it last week. And lastly does anyone know what the resistance is for the thermotime switch, temperature sensor, air regulator, and accelarated start is. cold start reads 4.8, air regulator is 2.4 and thermotime shows nothing.
