Thanks Guys! Mrbig, Your Truck is truly a nice rig, and I hope to create one as nice as yours. Love the FJ20!!!!........Have a hard time trying to read thru that 150 page build tho....lol I like your gauge setup too,I want to do something like that.

Although I am still Looking for a L20 to build I did pick this up for $200. An old friend of mine has a salvage yard. He is going to drop it at my place and I get to take everything I want off of it,then he will haul it away.

those pics are some old ones. I have started the tear down. The fenders are the worse pieces, They have some dents. The Drivers side will hammer and dolly but the passenger side will take some more work. Really wish I could find some better ones. the tail gate will also need some rust repair.

I got my hands on an all original 69 521. It has the original J13 engine and Tranny. That will definitely get replaced. I really want to do a L20 Build as opposed to a KA Build. That way I can keep the Bench seat and both of my boys can ride in it with me. However there is not much in the way of Datsun parts in this part of the country. I am planning on tearing the truck completely down and building it from the ground up. So this will be a slow build

This is a Great Build! I check it almost everyday and I'm using it as a guide for the build I'm about to start on my 69 521.

I almost owned that truck twice. I was trying to find the guys number again to try to get it again for some of the parts on it. Glad too see someone is going to bring it back to life. The last time I talked with him he said he was going to part it out.

Well BlueDat originally got this truck thru a 3 way trade with me. today we traded again. He got his 62 Impala,and I got this truck! I got it in the basement and will be getting busy on it directly along with a new Build Thread! btw I need a lower valence panel if anybody has one!
