Which cams do I need if I swap in the 40dcoes? What else should be modified?

hahaha yeah, the Datsun is in Pakistan right now. I actually live in Austria, but since thereare no 510 there I bought this car in Paki and everytime i come to Pakistan I work on it a lil. The webers i have, were running on a 1.8 / 16v golf engine with following specs Carburettor jetting: chokes 32 Main jet 138 Air jet 190 emulsion F64 - F47 Idle jet 59F21 pump jet 35 yeah sure I have paypal and visa, but for the price to get it imported here i can make 4 manifolds. The problem is not the price of the part and shipping, its the custom which f"cks u up. The custom cast manifold will cost me around $100.-, I think its worth taking a try, if not I will buy one on my next trip to Austria. so what do u guys say? should i run the twin 40s or a single 40?

so i finally got hold of a pair of weber 40 dcoe. I have someone who can cast me manifold for the twins. Which linkage would be the best? I have a oem Nikki carb right now with cable. Is it worth installing twin 40 dcoe on my stock l16? do i need to change anything else? we dont have any parts available here in paki, i have to import everything :poop: What are the specs for the carbs> Carburettor jetting: chokes Main jet Air jet emulsion Idle jet pump jet

Dual 40s sounds like a bit much for sn l16 Is too much? hmm, I thought this is like the normal swap? :confused: anyone driving here with dual swap? I am not so familiar with Carburator cars, so would be gratefull for any good advice and help.

Hey Guys, Currently I have 4 Gear column shift in my 510, I would like to swap to ground shift transmission and also install a Powersteering. Which tranmission can I use? what do I require for this swap? the car is currently in pakistan and has been completly restored to Original with new rebuild 1600 engine. please help! cheers Changez

Can anyone give me the correct size and dimension of Bre spec spoiler for 510? I cant buy these here in KHI, but I know a guy who can make me one for my 510 If I give him the meassurement. Thanks for your help guys!

Are there any after market ones I can use? or any Weber or similar Datsun Carb? We have a lot of Datsun 120y or Datsun 1200 around, can I use any of the parts from them? About the rims, I wanna go atleast 15", but not sure how much offset etc. 15x8 with +20 maybe? would those fit on oem fenders? cheers

Hey Guys, My name is Changez, I bought a Datsun P510 a month ago and trying to rebuild it. I am actually from Vienna, Austria...but currently in Karachi, Pakistan on visit. I drive usually a Nissan 200sx S13, and this is my first 510, found it after searching for it over 1 year now. Its a 1971 model with 1600cc engine, 4 door, pretty rusty right now, we have scraped the paint and started denting. Some things I would like to know, I think u guys here are professionals and can answer my questions. Which Twincarb can I swap in plug and play? how can I get more HP out of this engine? Which differential can I swap in? or should i just get the oem diff. rebuild? I have columshift right now, i would like to use some groundshift gearbox. Which ones would fit in there? I wanted to change the Wheels to, but not sure if 15 or 16 with 8J would be oki? I want to keep the original size of the fenders. I hope u guys can help me out here.. thanks cheers Changez
