SSS - Thanks a lot for the info! I will climb under and have a look this weekend to see more about the t-case in my 521... I know my truck was built in the late '70's... maybe even in 1980 which could possibly allow for the install of the scout t-case

Well... as usual... the guy replied and once again said he would refund my money... that's fine... I'll give him a few days to make good

Just a warning to fellow Ratsun members... I Paypal'd $180 bucks to a seemingly well respected and trustworthy Ratsun member located in Oregon to purchase a set of 521 bumperettes... after numerous text messages and months of waiting for this guy, I finally just asked for a refund. Its now been nearly a year... I occasionally forget about it, but just sayin' its not cool to take money from people... I'll ask this guy one more time for a refund and see what he says.

Brother Birdman... Thanks for trying to contact Low... I'm hopeful we'll get in touch with him one way or another. The engine I was supposed to pick up yesterday seems to need rebuilding... so, I'm still considering other options. No progress this weekend on the 327 521... although I have made some purchases of misc Datsun parts that will become part of the restoration...

Thanks Loren O... I looked on ebay and found a seller named importautographics and sent them a question to ask if they make/sell the Datsun rocker panel decal set like the one you found.... no reply yet from the seller If you find the info, please let me know. Thanks!

yeah.... sorry to disappoint... :D my Low Mfg brochure described it as a Model 20 / 300 combo, but I also thought it was simply a Dana 20

It looks pretty crusty.... but it's just a light surface rust... it's going to come out soon for a full rebuild & polish!

The truck was running a 1965 327 300hp block out of an Impala, with a 350 trans. Engine is currently disassembled. The transfer case is a Dana model 20 / 300 dual range case, with a Dana 30 front axle and stock Datsun rear. I have big plans for this beast.... but for starters I've found a complete and running 327 to put in for now to sort out all the wiring, cooling, fitting, etc. Even though the truck was built in the '70's with a 327, it is pretty much gutted at the moment leaving lots of "fun" for me to sort out...

Cool.... please let me know if you remember anymore details on that 70's Datsun book you mentioned... I would love to track it down!

Well... not to hijack my own thread, but this truck was a cover truck (likely on Truckin' magazine) in '81 or '82 if I remember correctly, and it was running a 327.... I drooled over this thing for years.... lol I found this pic on Ratsun.... who owns this beauty? Steroid... any comments?
