I have a th400 with an aftermarket converter that has a 3500-3700 stall, but the converter was built for another car. It was just collecting dust around the garage and I installed it knowing that it wouldnt be correct for my set up. Indeed, but I found that my car would cut the same 60 foots and trap not only a faster time but also a fast ET if I left off of idle. I had a friend watch me stage and I was literally dragging my front wheels into the staging lights while trying to pre-load and go above 2000 rpm. I run the ET Street DR's (225/55/15 i think?) at 22psi. Rear end is a Q45 LSD with custom Moser axles, Q45 CVs and 280z stub shafts. Techno Toy Tuning front diff mount and mustache bar, but my rear a-arm mount/bracket is something I made after I snapped the old one. I have a rear sway bar I need to install also before I go back to the track.

LM7 Block LS6 243 heads with aftermarket springs and pushrods LS6 intake Custom reverse split cam Sanderson shorties Th400 300whp I can't launch over 2000 rpms or I push through my S12w brakes, seems to be a converter issue. All my 11s are being cut from launching off side and not pre-loading. During the winter I am going to go to a smaller AT trans with OD and have a custom converter built. Looking to hit a 11.49 on motor before the turbo set up can cage.
  3. The diff is from the IS class cars, the LSD is a Torsen T20. JTEKT Torsen is part of the Toyota Group. Dont mean to be a dick but it was never a Subbie diff and you are incorrect. Also I highly doubt that the front mount could fit in a hls30 chassis, I'd wager that it would be alot of custom work for something that doesnt work any better than what is already available currently.
  4. the diff in the FR/BZ is an IS350 diff. looks like hybridz didnt like me hotlinking my own pictures. blah. ill update later.
  5. Well, like, duh man. Cheap is the way to go. Actually over 10 years ago there wasnt really a off the self kit you could buy for the Q45 set up, and I am a firm believer in built not bought. But fuck man, that TTT is all shiney and stuff. Not in a bind, I left the old mustache bar is still in the car when I installed the new modified transverse link arm. Which if I snap that thing in half, I have some huge issues going on. I need to find a turbo Z32 cover, I bought an NA z32 cover on ebay few days go for $30 shipped but found out after it shipped that the NA and Turbos have different rear subframes and have different center to center spacing. What ever, it was $30 lesson.
  6. Right now I am trying to update my rear end set up in my 240z after my home made "R230" diff mounting kit broke after 10 years. I replaced the front home made diff mount with a Techno Tunning mount before the transverse link arm snapped and it made me consider swapping out my drilled r200 mustache bar. It seems alot of people in other circles refer to the Q45 differential as an R230, but from what Ive glean recently it is actually an R200v. My issue is that on my Q45 differential, the mustache bar mounting bolts are 4 3/4 (center to center) while my Techno Tunning R230 mustache bar bolt provisions are spaced for 5 1/2 (center to center). This simply doesn't bolt up and I can not return the bar since it was bought used, it is no ones fault but my own for trying to save a hundred bucks. I don't know if some where in its life span the Q45 differential I own had its cover swapped before I bought it or there is massive amounts of incorrect information online, either way I have a nice billet mustache bar I cant do jack with. What I gathered is the Z32 turbo 300zx differential is the real "R230", but I dont know if the cover will fit my Q45 pumpkin. Also the s14 240sx has the same spacing for the cover but it looks considerably thick and might move the diff forward. Hell, I dont even know what I am asking at this point, more of just bitch'in to bitch. I should just fork out the cash and buy the correct mustache bar instead of hunting down diff covers to see if they might fit.
  7. These generally are not sold to the public, they only come on sbc motors from Rebello. So traditionally, you have to buy a motor to get them. My Gen 1 SBC is long gone since Ive moved onto bigger and better things. The valve covers have just sat in my shop for years collecting dust and I dont ever see myself running a carb'ed sbc ever again. So these guys can go to a new home. They are made from aluminum and the name are CNC'ed/laser engraved. No deep scuffs or dings and if you had a buffer, they would shine up great. I am asking $500 shipped and insured. Lowball offers will be ignored.
  8. ill try and snap some pics tomorrow. i dont have a proper spanner so ill have to wing it with a tape measure. i know. ghetto.
  9. Clearing out my friends shop and I ran across a really nice set of l20 pistons and rods. Since he doesnt dabble in dimes anymore he was thinking of selling them. Ill snap some pictures tonight for reference, but I am curious what you guys would be fair for a set?
