  1. If you custom make a metal grille, there are ceramic and powder coaters in CA. If you really want chrome, you can always mail the grill to a plater out of state. I was really spoiled, when I lived in MD, there was a plater 5 miles from home & a powder coater 25 miles away.
  2. I'm digging the contrast. I like the white. Now you just need some wide white walls and dog-dish caps.
  3. Thanks for the info, Mike! You're such an amazing resource.
  4. My heater control valve is stuck, and has started twisting the little D-shaped key that moves the valve. Unfortunately, it's stuck open, so my truck gets too hot. Anyone have a functional heater control valve they'd like to get rid of? Thanks!
  5. Nice "CL Gloat". On another forum, it's traditional to tell anyone who gets a sweet score that "YOU SUCK". I'm definitely digging the interior, and sick with envy over that dash!
  6. Dooooooood! Wear a mask when you paint!! Please! You're doing great work -- awesome to see an old Ratsun getting the royal treatment.
  7. Yep. They work. Sorry, it's sort of a crappy pic: http://alanzina.zenfolio.com/p475980658/e264a8a68
  8. Cool - you got the rare factory tach! That's some funky stuff goin' on under the hood.
  9. That's cool that your wife is behind the project. My wife hates on my 620.
  10. I'm always surprised that more people don't talk about putting v6 motors into 620s - looks to me like there'd be enough room. 200 hp is pretty easy from a v6!
  11. A buddy of mine lives in Apple Valley. We go SuMo racing out at Grange whenever I can get down there. I'd start by budgeting for a complete motor rehab - maybe not a rebuild, but you absolutely MUST get inside the motor and clean that dust out. Don't even turn it over by hand before you get it cleaned up!!! Yeah, that tilt-front is bitchin!
  12. I'm thinking - just drive it. The paint looks way better than what's on my truck, that's for sure. It's a 10-footer job, which is OK. My truck is a 10-miler.
  13. Heck yeah - I'm thinking that OEM avacado would be very cool on mine.
  14. Take it apart, clean it, lube it. They probably have a bunch of crap stuck in the mechanism -- you know, car funk... petrified McDonalds fries, sandwich crumbs, sand, pebbles, spilled coffee...
