  1. Last year was good, this year there was almost no ice. I am just dieing for what little ice there was to melt!
  2. There is only one boat that a real secret agent would drive, and that is the Sundance 16 with Castoldi jet drive. I own many boats, I rent boats on Lake Superior but there is one boat that rules them all. All Hail 00-Datsun the stealth surfer!
  3. OMG the one in Washington just sold. I need another, who has one for sale closer to Lake Superior!

  5. The Reagal 5260 was a 50 foot boat that planed off and did 35mph a 30 foot skater would be fun to drive i bet. But I still love my Datsun. Hell I could take the after market silencer off the boat that the guy installed and make it go faster. But what Makes 00-Datsun a secret agent boat is her smooth sound and low profile. My favorite past time is to drive in shallow water, underneath the dock crib gaps and tell everyone to duck at the last minute! I would love to see you and your Skater chase me all over the sandbar, my favorite place to play! I also love to just put the boat in reverse and hard over and let it make me spin for sometimes absurdly long periods of time. If you ever get on a Datsun Sundance 16' its saucer like hull does the best spins! It can be so hard to put her back in the marina I sometimes do circles like that for an extra 10 minutes to finish my drank.

  7. Just drumming up love for the best boat ever created. And I have captained 78 foot Cheoy Lee's, Reagal 5260 with IPX drives, and multitudes of small run abouts. But no boat puts a bigger smile on my face than the Datsun Power Sundance 16' Magic Flying Saucer. I present 00-Datsun a secret Agent Boat: http://community.ratsun.net/topic/58932-sundance-16-jet-boat/ Any one got one for sale in the Mid West? I really cant drive all the way to California but there is this sweet looking boat: http://sacramento.craigslist.org/boa/4425102615.html -Captain Bob http://www.captainbobsmarina.com/
  8. You all race on ice right? like an island tradition when it freezes...
  9. There is 1 boat to rule all over all other boats! Let the Sundance 16' Rein over The Great Lake Superior. 00-Datsun is a secret Agent boat, with underwater lights and and the ability to skip great distances while itself remaining insignificantly just a part of my conscious. With it's great awesomeness I cruise over water so shallow it remains nothing but wet sand... Because Madeline Island in The Apostle Islands needs a skipping stone for this captain to really be one on the water. OK so I didnt buy the one in Wyoming instead I bought an RX1 snowmobile to rule the frozen wasteland of Lake Superior, but anyone know of any Sundance 16's for sale? I need to leave this island for the melt season! Although it has been an Epic Ice Road!-- -Captain Bob -http://www.captainbobsmarina.com/
  10. OH YEAH 00-Datsun has underwater lights also!
  11. I bought it like 3 years ago. I drove an hour from where I was going to WITC Marine tech school. Bought it at 11pm after a long dinner at Perkins we made it back to Aschan Wisconsin at like 3am. So we dropped the boat in the water and just took the guy who sold it to me at his word that the boat was perfect! We did this ofcourse because we were professionals. So after it started right up it ran out of gas in like 2 seconds... So we gassed it up then drove it around Chequamegon bay until sunrise. She really ran great for a season, then I replaced the Hitachi Carb with a Webber. I kinda bought a rebuild kit for the Hitachi and just well ummm, I got a Hitachi carb for sale, its in card board box, apart... The webber kicks serious ass though, much more reliable and powerful feel, yet it seems to burn more fuel at idle, considerably. I used to say I dont need water, just wet sand to move... but then I finally blocked the water and so the Conqueror Marine exhaust did crack, but was an easy weld to fix it. I now resist the need to go through 8 inches or less water... The previous owner added a silencer to the exhaust, my boat sounds like a wind up toy! Running her on Lake Superior, I have had to add and glue down all the screws constantly. I often take it on journeys and need to return even in moderatly wavey conditions. One spring I took off on a balmey 50 degree day to go eat Breakfast Buffet at the Casino, 7 miles away at Red Cliffe, only to have to return into a moderate 2-3 chop... Suprisinly her power and hull are great if you work hard to make sure you surf each wave correctly. But she does get wet, and I have returned white nuckled and cursing myself for not wearing my snowmobile gear. I also added a 1800 gph bilge pump, being that I run on Lake Superior. I also figure if I run out of gas I can pull the drain plug and the jet of water that shoots out the bilge will drive me home!
  12. Well I am a Northerner and my season is frozen over. Perhaps if I go buy the one in Wyoming I should bring it down to Arizona and meet up before hauling it back this spring. I have had interest in checking out the lakes, reservoirs, and rivers of the west! That is if you guys go out in the winter/spring. I mean your winters are like my summers...
  13. Oh yeah her name is 00-Datsun because she is a secret agent boat!
