  1. It's in Boulder Creek California
  2. Hi all, hopefully I don't get dinged for posting in the wrong place but I'm not allowed to post in classified. But I have a free Datsun diesel engine for someone. It's mostly there, crank broke and someone tore it apart, but lots of good free parts for someone. Block is solid, oil pan good, intake, flywheel, valves, glow plugs, injectors, oil cooler, and much more. Hopefully this can help someone's project as Datsun Diesel's are harder and harder to find.
  3. I'm pumped and bringing truckloads of parts, engines, etc. Anywho, I am wondering about whether its dog friendly? Just thought Id ask because they will be nice companions while I'm trying to sell a bunch of junk. See you all Saturday!!!!!
  4. Right on. Thanks good info. I just wanted to see what I could use from what new parts I have laying around and this answers that.
  5. Hey all. I have a rebuilt z20 head, az24 motor, and head gasket kit from z22, and water pump/ timing chain for z22. Will these all bolt up. Are easier pump, timing chains interchangeable? How about head gaskets? Thanks
  6. Hi, I may be picking up a z20e and what I'm wondering is if the fuel injection bolts on to the z22 I have in my 620? I would love to have fuel injection, so I'm just wondering if this is a bolt on thing or if it's more work than its worth? Thanks
  7. The biggest issue was the brake booster(v6 4 runner ), so cutting the firewall, moving the clutch cylinder over repatching the firewall. It works great, stops on a dime for sure. Also depending on your calipers some adaptation there probably, my stuff was all Toyota, so that made it bolt together pretty easy, not sure about adapting to other things, but I don't think it would be that hard, just requiring creativity ya know.
  8. That would be a sweet set up. The front spring mounts are custom trail gear spring perches. The steering was completely re done with hi steer on the Toyota axle. As for the brakes I have land cruiser master and disks with v6 4 runner calipers. V6 4 runner rear drums also. Brakes no problem now! Completely different truck from when you had it. Finishing the exhaust tomorrow, I'll get pics of it along with some more pics of the front for you.
  9. So, here we are 9 months later and I decided that I need to push my frustration aside and finish this SOB. So I kept messing with it and thought, what about the dizzy? So I threw one at it with a cap and rotor and the truck started right up! !! I need to tie up some loose ends on it this weekend, but I think I will finally be rolling this beast again. Also hoping to take it wheeling at Hollister memorial day. If I do I'll get some action pics for yall.
  10. So I have not done too much more but I did promise some pictures. Anyways here we go. just to remember what we are working on, with my cool custom hood prop heres the bundled pile of coils I have going, I will simplify when I actually have this MFer running again and the engine with the wires etc here is a shot of the external regulator wires jumped and now I need to plug this in and hook up the alternator and try again.
  11. Here are a couple older pics for you also original l18
  12. Ive been watching this thread long enough without participating 1974 620 4x4 came with 4 speed L18 and Jeep front axle now has toyota front and rear axles napz 22 and a 5 speed out of a 1982 720 Plus a million other things as can be seen in my build thread, but here she is also here is the motor conversion almost completed, just finishing wiring stuff up.
  13. Hey all, I am going to be finishing up my 620 napz motor swap soon and i am ready to get the datsun out wheeling again. I have a bunch of Toyota wheeling buddies here in Santa Cruz, but I want to smash my truck up with some other Datsun trucks. Let me know who is near by that wants to plan a trip to hollister hills sometime in the next month and a half to 2 months. I think it would be awesome to do some old school mini truck datsun wheeling. Let me know if anyone is interested
