  1. I just pulled the parts off the engine today, so I will clean them up and post pictures. in he next few days.
  2. I am not sure what used parts are worth for a Datsun, so I was looking for a little assistance please. I have the following parts off an L16 I pulled from a 620: Intake Manifold Exhaust Manifold A87 Head Oil pump Alternator Starter Distributor Water pump with Thermostat Valve Cover Any idea what these would be worth? Thank You.
  3. I think it turned out great! They got rid of all the nasty blue paint and all of the rust, good as new!!
  4. Called the carb shop, they should have it ready for me to install it tomorrow!!
  5. I dropped off the carb to be rebuilt today, have a guy doing some fabrication to fix the cab mounts that have rusted out, and ordered the valve cover gasket....I'll have some more work to do when those things are ready.
  6. Sorry for the polarized images but it seems my 4 year old thought I needed that turned on and didn't tell me until after I took the pictures lol.
  7. Long awaited Disc brakes on the rear of the truck!!!! YAY!!!
  8. We pulled the bench seat and carpet out today, and we found that both of the rear frame attatchment locations need to be replaced. The metal surrounding the bolts has completely rusted out, and I have a guy in Van buren working up some replacement pieces for me to fix the problem with. In the meantime I cleaned the floor pans and sprayed them with rust reformer to save on future rust issues.
  9. I at least got both of the axle shafts into the rear end, so when I get the bracket back from Datsun Parts I will have pictures to post of the disc brakes installed. :)
  10. Well, I got out there today, installed the driver's side axle shaft, put on the bracket, installed the rotor, and when I went to mount the caliper to the bracket the lower hole stripped out. I'm waiting for Al over at Datsun Parts to reply so I know what I need to do for a replacement bracket.
  11. I couldn't resist so I went back out this evening and put all the lug studs in.
  12. Progress for the day, I painted the rear end, lowering blocks, and the u bolt top plates. I also got the rear end back under the truck and installed the new shocks, tomorrow I will put the new lug bolts into the hub assemblies and install the brakes and axle shafts. Lots to do but we are making progress :)
  13. Datsun 240Z - $200, someone save this from scrap, I would if I was closer!! http://rockies.craigslist.org/cto/3125546283.html
  14. 1974 B210 - $1200 in Albuquerque http://albuquerque.craigslist.org/cto/3129159806.html
  15. The only thing I accomplished today was helping my buddy pick up the old 73 so he could start restoring it.
