  1. For anybody curious it worked just fine. Took it on a roughly 120 mile round trip to summit point for spec510 this weekend no problem. I'll get down and check that everything is still nice and tight once I wrap up with the kid activities for the day.
  2. That's all the confirmation I need, thanks! It is indeed centered and axle can move through its arc without binding. Gonna grease the axles and get the other side installed and hopefully get the car on the ground and out for a spin sometime this weekend.
  3. So I clearly don't keep this updated but the car has been on and off under the knife. Since I can't leave well enough alone and I like to try shit, can somebody tell me why this is a bad idea? The Infiniti m30 stub thing there has been drilled and tapped for the vw/porsche 100mm cv axles. The nuts are there because I have them and I figure extra security wouldn't be a bad idea. CVs haven't been greased yet as this was just a test fit. Axles are from a 1980 924 as the m30 arms clearly don't have the wolf creek adapter on em and the old axles were roughly an inch short. Why m30 arms? Shiggles. They increase track width by approximately and inch on either side and come with disc brakes and the drum ebrake will be easy enough to get working. If this doesn't work I'll just put the 510 arms back in. Either way I had fun trying to get this together. Thanks for any input.

  6. Older post but in the off chance that people come across this like I did here's a 22t gear that (for now) is available caveat being you gotta get it from Japan: https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/t1000716839?fbclid=IwAR1PgmrYYHkPniUR5ILFFBJK12VAOj4CgciIqrU8cPMYTl31I6HqPv8Mpfg
  7. I was wondering why the trunk looked funny and now that its been mentioned i see the gas tank isn't there. So the solid axle sedans have the tanks underneath?
  8. I didn't read too far back but I haven't seen this one yet, looks to be a Mexico spec 510. Has the J series (i think) engine and the mexico tails and bumper mounted tag light: https://modesto.craigslist.org/for/d/modesto-datsun-510/7076203191.html

  10. Thank you. Gives me an idea of what to look out for. Don't seem to find too many of the cooler toys out here in the wild on the east coast but it won't stop me from trying.
