up for sale is my unique and vintage saab sonett. i acquired this car with the intent of working out the mechanical bugs and finishing the interior then driving it till the wheels fell off. i succeeded in fixing up the mechanicals. going through the new engine and drive train and replacing the few little pieces that the previous owner didnt replace or refurbish. this fun little creature runs very well and even drives pretty decent as it sits. it could probably benefit from a final carburetor tune up and the shifter linkage needs to be adjusted.
the body has been completed with fresh vibrant purple paint that has been laid over this one of a kind car. the sonett is really eye catching and stunning under the afternoon sun. the few times i did drive it, i got honks and thumbs up everywhere.
the only major thing that is really left is to finish the interior. the seats and dash have been refurbished as well as the headliner (although it has started to fall which should be a very easy fix with the right tools). all that there is left of the interior to do is the door panels, b-pillar upholstery and carpet, which there are kits for.
i think i have covered most of the important stuff, so if you are interested in a classic car and want something more unique than american iron then this is the car for you.
also note that this car is 100% rust free. i know fiberglass has a hard time rusting but many of these cars get destroyed from the inside out but not this one.
