  1. mike always has the right answers haha I suggest driving the car and enjoying it for the time being with the L18 before jumping into a swap if youre looking for a noticeable power upgrade I would go the dual cam ka route... but wouldn't tear anything apart until you have absolutely everything needed for the swap or your car will end up sitting torn apart for a long time just a couple things to ask yourself...do I have the time, money, skills, tools, and space to accomplish everything youre looking to do. and last thing... PICTURES hahahah
  2. just remember no ones 521 will ever be as cool as tankers...it cant be done. end of story
  3. f*** man props to you for taking on that project.. very far from a small job but I wouldn't scrap it either. whats your plans for it? just keep it one ratty mother******
  4. where im at as of now... getting my driveshaft cut hopefully done on monday. everything else mounted. still need a radiator and headers...anyone got input on headers? i hear most people use obx? got a pedal out of a 240 happy with how it sits might need to make like a 2in spacer between the mount and pedal to bring it up a tad, and single cam throttle cable which is close to perfect. currently working on completing my stock dash...hopefully within the next week or so ill get it started up so i can tear it all apart and get the brake lines done and save up for some bodywork and a paint job.

so you have something to look at instead of just words 240 pedal 510 pedal picture of a 240 pedal in a 510 that someone made a bracket for...might see if i can do something like that...i would like to keep the stock 510 pedal..guess well see tomorrow night

    ka24de info

had a question about throttle cable and pedal for ka 510 been researching all day... some people say the best option is an 80-83 200sx pedal and cable but seems like it would be hard to come by... then some say 240sx pedal and cable which is easy to find...actually will be picking up a cable and pedal tomorrow after work. now if i choose to cut and weld the 240 end onto the end of the 510 pedal what would be used as a return spring if any? (seems like the least work) thats why i want to see if i can make the 240 pedal work cause that one already has a spring on the pedal assembly unlike the 510. only reason i say i want to see if i can make it work is because i dont have a welder or any welding skills (needs to change soon hopefully) if anyone has done it or can chime in it would be highly appreciated
  7. went to the junkyard to find things to work on my 2dr...and we all know how that ended :crying:
  8. also the hardbody harness is integrated with chassis harness and thats a pain in the ass..and you will need motor mount brackets..redeye (a member on here) makes brackets for 620 ka swaps. thats just a few things to scratch the surface
  9. have u done research on Ka and Efi swaps? it's been done alot but u will need a way of wiring it up, be it your own way or simplest choice a can am box... it will save you a headache...and the 240 manifold and harness is just for simplicity and cleanliness not for power. just throwing in my 2 cents
  10. if you want to put extended studs 240sx studs work well very nice snug fit and you can get them anywhere.. I got 60mm which are long but got them incase I choose to run a slip on spacer you can get them from frsport for $2 a piece if you do get them make sure u get s13 13mm studs s13 came 13mm knurl and s14 used 13mm up front and 14mm in the rear thought id share it with you, I have photos if ud like...
  11. and both are not expensive at all and well worth it
  12. honestly if possible id swap your intake manifold out to a 240sx one, and engine wire harness if possible it makes it a lot easier and cleaner looking... and what are you going to use for wiring? can am?
  13. "255 then regulate it to where it needs to be" 255lph means how much fuel it can pump meaning, 255 liters per hour. "most" not all pumps can produce twice the amount of psi theyre meant for which is regulated by the fpr by all means a stock regulator will be fine...unless you really want to get mathematical there is a way to determine it all but don't ask me haha
