Thank you much for this write-up! I just did this to my '76 620. The donor vehicle was a '80 720. I'm not so good with electrical stuff but this thread made the process less intimidating. There was a difference in the wire colors coming off the matchbox distributor; the one you have labeled as blue was white. But your pics made it easy to figure out. My truck starts and runs great.
