  1. Sorry I didnt mention " good luck " to you guys that are hurtin. I have been there and Know how it effects your whole outlook on life. I wasnt trying to compare my problems with yours, because there is no comparison. Hopefully things will come around soon and everyone can back on track.
  2. I'm on the other end of this dilema. I put a help wanted sign outside my shop over a week ago and the only people to stop in were a 60 yr old Brazilian woman and a fresh off the boat Russian dude that cant read english and doesnt have a green card. I thought there would be tons of guys like yall dieing for work.Ive got a metal fab shop and I need A SHIPPER/RECIEVER and general maintenance guy.Anyone here from the metro west Boston area?
  3. First off, ALL z's and zx's came with rack & pinion steering. And that diff pictured has the finned back cover that came on the LSD rear ends. Spin one hub if the other turns in the same direction, its an LSD. If they go opposite, its an open diff.
  4. I understand that too, guy.
  5. Ya, that was harsh...I would only say that on a car site where people are interested in the project and dont understand the mindset to drop a cool swap like this. In every other aspect, I'm proud as he ll he's my son. Hey fisch. its definatley a pride thing. He loves the idea of a custom truck that nobody else has but isnt willing to put in the time to get it. Ive been offering him $ 3500 cash in hand but he's not biting. He's 19 yrs old and is more into his GF and hanging with his buds than wrenching with dad and thats fine with me, I half understand that. The time will come when he either needs the money or decides to finish it. And when that time comes, I'll be there to help either way.
  6. I know...its embarassing to even admit he's my son.One way or another, the truck WILL get finished, its just a matter of time. It's indoors and will stay there, collecting dust.
  7. Its been a long time since Ive been here and unfortunatly,I dont have any updates to show . My son ( the little @&*^ ) lost interest and as of now, wont sell the truck to me.At this point, hes kinda phuqued, I started my own engine swap and I'm not stopping to help him until my car is done. So I'll continue flashing cash in his face and hopefully he'll give in and sell. Dont get me wrong, I want nothing more than to see him get excited and WANT to finish the truck but for now, his priority's are else where.
  8. If none of the mentioned methods work, you can weld a nut onto the exposed end of the lug nut.Weld thru the hole i n the new nut and remove while its still hot.
  9. Thats fine but the sign is mounted on my rear hatch and goes with me everywhere.

    ZX int Z

No, none of the chassis/body will fit, only driveline parts
  11. As with all his cars, the Capri needs ALOT of work. For someone that was a decent fabricator with the equipment, it could be a nice project. I dont know what he wants for it and unfortunatly, he knows how rare it is .
  12. Dont bother, I checked it out today and Its a POS. Its a 280zx 2+2 automatic, 3 strikes right there. But whats worse, is its rotted into the ground. He's also got a 260z with a 350 chevy motor and auto tranny and a beefed up frame. Hes got some interesting cars but theyre all too rough or parts missing to make them worth buying. The one car that caught my eye was a 1965 Ford Capri GT. Never seen one before and it appeared that it was nearly complete.Oh ya, he's also got a Supra with a clean 7MGTe engine.
