  1. Hainz : Yes , I did put in a new brass sender in ! Checked the back of the instrument panel , all looks good . Yeller : Started thinking some truth to the wiring connection on that temp sender . Seems to happened after I gunked/ degreased the motor . Tighten the fit onto sender , but no change . Tried to trace down the wiring between the two connections . So , can I just run a new wire from sender to the light connection , or is it special in some way with some other connection in between ????
  2. The guys name is David ( last name as one of them blue welders ) . Has tons of 1200 stuff , plus other things . Last talked to him , was going to do a drivetrain swap in the 1200 fastback . Nice guy , quite knowledgable on Datsuns !;)
  3. I hope someone here can direct me to my problem solve . My recently aquired PU started this weird idiot light flashing dance sydrome . I checked things over with a digital temp reader . All check points checked out OK ! Plus I have no boil over issues . So I changed out the sender unit , problem solved , but ONLY for one day ! WTF is going on  The person before had a BIG ASS stereo system , so wiring COULD be messed up:rolleyes: Any ideas where to look , what to change out , test  Is it telling me the water pump is ready to go ? Maybe flush the block ( full of S**t so not getting a good reading ? ) Any help appreciated
  4. Thanks everyone ! I knew its was Isuzu something . Forgot about the Trooper . Yeah , I've seen lots of those at "U-Pull-its" . Good thing its not Rodeo / Passport stuff ! That stuff is NOWHERE to be found used.
  5. I know the trick set-up is to go with the rear disc stuff of the Rodeo/ Passport , but who has the best deals on this stuff. I sure can't find the stuff used anywhere , so will probably have to buy new . I've gotten prices all over the board . What should a person pay for the disc , calipers , brackets , hareware , etc .... ?????? Thanks
  6. Sent you a PM , check it out for ideas;)
  7. Fisch : You might want to know , I took my truck to my friend that runs a tire shop . Have my laptop with me and showed him those Chrome 6 spoke 6 lug wheels ;) He said , AHHHH , hot selling wheel on the mini truck scene :) Says they are Cragar's 61 or 610 series , took some measurement with this trick tool he places on hub , then rotates it . Right there said what would work , and what wouldn't . Says the 18" x 9" +20mm offset will clear ('78 620 KC ) . We ordered one rim , will be about 1 week , then test fit tires. You need to find yourself a friendly tire shop that will do this kind of service. Saves lots of time:D JUST DON"T BUY ANYTHNG , UNTILL TEST FITMENT:eek:
  8. Yeah , for the same reason I jumped the gun and though WOW cool looking wheel ;) Plus worst yet , get someone that didn't know how to measure give you wrong diamentions . Sure as HELL glad I didn't buy first, then be screwed second. They do look sharp though, temped poision:D
  9. Thanks DattoFreak :) You should of been my math teacher:lol:
  10. Kinda  So if you have a 9" rim , split the width , = 4.5" + the 20mm offset , aprox. .75" , the back spacing then would be about 5.25". Am I even close :confused: or did I flunk the math test :(
  11. Well Fish , I guess I should of done some more checking , instead of taking there word for it . So when I went there with my truck & took the wheel tire combo off my truck , THEY WOULD'NT FIT:eek: . Very close , but no cigar::blink: The guy says he measured with a tape measure ( never make it as a machinist :fu:). So I guess I'm SOL on that ave ! Now looking into the new Cragar 610 series in 6 lug:eek: Can anyone explain to me what +20 means in relation to back spacing . I only understand when you measure the BS with tape measure & yard stick across:confused: Never took in this Metric stuff , just know what metric wrenches fit what bolts:rolleyes:
  12. Also , another thing I found out about these newer Ford rims is : In 2003 & newer , Ford on there 1/2 tons went from 5 x 5.5 BP ,to a 6 x 5.5 BP . Kinda neat for all us Ratsuns . I'll see how fitment works on backspacing ,plus take some measurements of all available sets ! They say they're 2005 - 2008's take offs of F150's ;)
  13. I checked , and they are 6 x5.5 BP . Yeah , I've seen them 7 lugs  , said to self ,WTF:eek: . Fords smartass "Better idea" , I guess.
  14. Has anyone looked into the wheel offerings that come on the newer Ford F150's ???? Found a Ford dealer liquating take offs ! They're 17" , six lug , available in steel chrome or alloy ;). I'll be going there tomorrow to check them out . Just seeing if someone has tried them here first . Will see if can stuff them on a 620:rolleyes:
