  1. Tody I decided to push my 620 into the pond with the keys and papers in it.. good luck to who finds her... RIP.
  2. tow strap... yup. Today I was wishing I had one. I was gonna tow her to the graveyard:mad: last night fixed the fuel pump. today the carb goes. F***ing P***e *f SH*t!! tomorrow depending on how quick and cheap the carb repair is, she might be taking a solo trip off a tall mountain I no. One way trip...:fu: plenty more dattos in the sea!
  3. oh yeah, I have my rubber hammer in the back. 6lt of water and jumper cables. I nearly forgot...

    why does my 620?

I have an oil leak from the mechanical fuel pump which is not connected... I need to sort it...but so many other problems... such is Datsun 620 life...
  5. And smile Smile SMILE!! Seriously, what do you think should be carried in these trucks if you want to survive on regular trips? My best guess would be: 10, 12, 14, 17 mil spanners or sockets Multimeter (or at least 12v bulb and wire to test for current) flat head and Cross head drivers regular pliers Electrical tape Duck tape (Full set of spare fuses) What do you think? Sorry. if this is in another thread... please feel free to delete it!:o
  6. Lovin' that! The wheel and tyre combo make me very glad I decided to raise my 620 this weekend. It will be the muttz Nutz when I get some tall wide rubber on there. but now it drives like a DREAM! Good luck with the runs out.
  7. you fcuk the sh1t out of me and then want me to take u home too! u've got a nerve!
  8. You better buy me a new pump if you want me to suck that sh1t!! ;)
  9. Here is a new one for you! Last night I was on my way back from town and the damn fuel pump which had been on the blink, gave up the ghost!! Of course its rainy season and just getting dark and pissing it down. But I have been in thailand too long not to know that anything can be fixed at any time!! So first I remove the pump (facet type not the mechanical standard one) then I try the shop suggested by a local but its closed (sunday 6 pm) so I buy a tooth brush from 7 11 and 20 bht of petrol in a whiskey bottle and sit down under cover from the rain and rub the breaker points with petrol using the tooth brush. Gave them a few good goes and then re-assembled and re installed and it almost worked. Battery was on the blink so got a jump start from a tuk tuk and....Hey presto!!! My first truly third world "field repair" got me all the way home!! Today I'll replace it, but I had to tell you guys cos I think this would only happen in Thailand. Can u tell me any different?
  10. "top or bottom/ Make up ur damn mind!" "I love it when you rub me down and them spray me again with that green sh1t!":D "Thanks for sorting my plumbing:o" "Ouch! I think you ripped something!"

    My MINT truck!!!

And so it was that Loz went to town on the spray cans and finished her off quite nicely with a little sanding down and repainting. Then it was that loz went the get the truck raised but forgot to shut the bonnet properly. My first Bonnet slap promptly ensued as I whizzed down the highway to suddenly see the "hood" rear up and slap the roof line!! Was doing less than 60mph so, I went all Ace Ventura and drove with my head out the window to a stop on the hard shoulder. It was quite the wake up call! Anyway, I took the hood off at the garage and straightened it out (which it needed before anyway!) so its all good now:D And with all that green, she just had to get high:p picks will follow. I'm thinking spacers and eventually big wheels will give me the look I want for my mean greeny!
