    Blown HG?

Maybe I have a miss? I'll top off the radiator and half fill the recovery bottle.

    Blown HG?

Do not see steam in exhaust. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y7-SIQh-DC6SosFEU_LPosPOTzNU-S2J/view?usp=drive_link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ztZzeNp8c015dkn0l5W_xZWXgtx69M_T/view?usp=drive_link

    Blown HG?

I'm wondering about the radiator cap also. I'm nor sure how to tell if it's right. I probably bought it at O'reily's or Autozone. Yesterday when I got the engine warmed up, I did not notice any change in the coolant reservoir.

    Blown HG?

I have not been filling the radiator up to the top. It's maybe half an inch down. Could this air at the top cause the bubbles? I'll top it off today. I have not noticed steamy exhaust. I'll check today.

    Blown HG?

I've maybe topped off twice with about 1/2 quart each time. I just went out and opened the cap after letting it cool down after my 5 mile test run and bubbles came out the overflow house into the overflow tank. The level was not down this time. Oil does not look milky. A little dark because it needs changed. I only run this beast maybe 500 miles a year at most. Runs good. No overheating as long as I keep the water topped off.

    Blown HG?

I've been fighting water loss and can not figure out where. First I tried to adding an overflow jug to see if it was escaping out the overflow tube and not being recaptured. I see the level go up and down sometimes on the overflow jug. I'm loosing maybe a half a quart every time I fire it up and do a test around the neighborhood and on the freeway for one exit then home. Maybe 5 miles max. This time after the test, I checked the overflow jug and air was coming out the overflow tube into the jug. The truck does not overheat unless the coolant gets too low. The needle runs a little less than half. Before I did the test this time checked the coolant level and it was down about a quart. When I unscrewed the cap there was a hiss. The engine had been sitting for a couple of days. Maybe the hiss was vacuum and not pressure? If there is a hiss on the radiator cap after sitting for a couple of days, can it be HG? Thanks

    Water Pump?

I can find a container at the junk yard. What is the "special cap"?

    Water Pump?

I only drive this truck to pick up materials from HD once a month or so. I've changed the seats to buckets, but its still an uncomfortable ride for my 6 ft, 67 year old body. Every once in a while I think of getting a new pickup, but the amount of pick use I get doesn't justify it. Inconsistency, over the last couple of years, it would start to get hot and I would find it was low on coolant. This was not a consistent phenomenon. Maybe only once every 6 months. I thought maybe the radiator cap was opening and it was letting water out through the overflow. Could this water pump issue be the culprit? I pulled the pump, and found one in San Diego. I'm surprised the gasket is sold separately. I broke one of the bolts that holds in the radiator so will need to find a way to drill it out or make another hole for a new bolt.

    Water Pump?

My 620 started overheating on the way home. I limped it home and found water hissing from the hole in the bottom of the water pump. Is this a water pump failure or can something else cause water to come out this hole? Also, I changed out the 1600 to an 1800 some time ago. Is the pump the same for both? Thanks Kevin
  10. My rim's diameter measure 15.75 inches, but the tires are 14's. I'm confused?
  11. My bad. The rims are 14" given the tire size on them.
  12. I was having a difficult time figuring out a spacer, straightedge, level and tape measure arrangement for camber, so I tried the following. I hung a plumb bob off the fender lined up with the spindle and measured the distance from rim to plumb bob line at the top and bottom of the rim. My top of the rim measurement was 1/2 inch greater than the bottom of the rim measurement. I have 16 inch rims. is this a fair method to measure camber?
  13. I set the Toe. Then in trying to measure camber, I put a builders level straight up and down across the middle of the tire. I needed to pull the level out at the top about an inch to get the bubble to indicate a straight up and down line. Is this an OK method of checking camber? What do I do to fix it?
  14. I put the truck on a flat surface and lined the driver's side wheel up with the back wheel. The driver's side wheel is pointed straight forward. The passenger side front wheel is not pointed straight forward. It points out. Noticeably. I think this is wrong. Could this cause inside tire wear?
  15. Thanks datzenmike, I have not adjusted the torsion bars. I've had it for 10-12 years. I'll check toe per your directions. And check the ride height.
