Head's off. intake valve on 4 was damaged (smashed into piston head) For some reason the guys that are helping me with the engine dont seem to think a new valve will fix it. I'm very stupid.
Bad intake valve in 4. gasket has not been tampered with in any way. I'll see what else I can find out from my mechanics. I have plenty of time, no great surplus of money. please email me for more details. Thanks!

Yeah, I was thinking maybe reshaping the rear window glass from a wagon.. Or plexiglass.. but the Colorado mountains are no place to winter without something plugging your wallholes.
My 510 wagon is as good as I can get it right now and I have the opportunity to pick up a 1200 for little cash. Trouble is, no rear window glass. Anyone make replacement glass anymore?
Finally fixed my cooling system and realized that there's a LOT of smoke leaking out of the head gasket.. Starting to worry about the engine block on my poor wag0n.
EDIT: Hit Craigslist and inquired about a couple of other Datsuns in the area.. Not giving up on the goon, but keeping my options open.
Is this place worth the trip? Just heard about it today from a US car fan, and thought I'd go check it out on Thurs. ANyone been there? ANything useful and Datsuny?

1970. Basically stock save for the custom "dashboard electrical fire" switch. (I'm sort of thinking about disabling that particular feature)
Saw a beautiful b210 2 door (lime green) in Greeley CO today. Thumbed up the driver for great justice. Damn hot ride. Too slow on the draw to capture a pic though :(
Since 1990 I've beenobsessed with Datsuns, built and released 4 in that time, and was convinced I was the only person in the world that was into it. I must get to Canby next year. Never knew about it til I joined up here.
