  1. The next up date is three in one. Trans, Sub frame and Trans tunnel. Trans is a CD009 6spd with a CBF short shifiter, The sub frame extensions and the trans tunnel where done by KoogleWerks out of Santa Rosa. 2. No it's NOS from Nissan I'll have to modify it a little bit. What's interesting is the air box has the air horns in cover section and not in the plate. 20180323_182242 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20170814_170026 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20170814_170124 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20170814_170019 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20170814_170254 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr
  3. I leaned the motor over to the other side to gain more room for the induction system and I figured that if it worked for the S20 engine it would work for me. There is a little more to it than that but maybe later. it leaned over 10 degrees to the 1 o'clock position I modified the cross member and one of the motor mounts. The mock up block is a LD 28 so the height was right for both the hood clearance and the header. 12980 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 12982 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180327_202215 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20171216_194715 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180106_224341 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180106_224354 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20170825_145831 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr A little valve cover logo change 20171201_190615 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180323_174612 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180323_180446 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180323_223659 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180326_190715 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180326_192836 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180326_192855 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180326_195653 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180326_195626 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr 20180326_190709 by Ralph Kenyon, on Flickr
  4. I had been planning on a RB 3.3 with throttle bodies and a nice stainless steel header. I had collected almost all the part to build the motor except the RB 26 cylinder head. I stopped by my local Engine builder who I've know for more than 30 years. As we where talking about the engine build. Let me back up a little bit my good friend was encouraging me to go a different route. He said keep it and L based motor. The car might have a higher value if to maintain a L based motor. Back to where I was. Talking to Dave the engine builder about the RB and the HP it would produce. He turned the conversation to a new cylinder head that a guy out of Florida was making. He went on to say it's a twin cam 4 valve. So long long story really short I decided on a 3.5 Liter twin cam 4 valve cylinder head that out flows the other head Better known as the Datsunworks head. The last time I drove the car was to take my 10 year old to a local ice cream shop that was last Oct. I would like to say I been busy and a lot has gotten done but you can be the judge. Lets began the prep work. Some where along the way I stared to strip the paint and primer the car. 11. This will be a build tread about my 72 GTX Skyline. I bought the Skyline in Long Beach in Feb 2006. The car seemed to be in good shape minus a motor. The P O supplied a Nissan reman engine out of a Maxima. I had to find a oil pan for the car, that was no easy feat back then. I sourced a pan, and when it showed up it looked like the car hit a pot hole at 60 mph. After repairing the oil pan to working order. I installed the motor and the journey begins.
