  1. If you are there to report the news it really shouldn't be obvious who you would vote for. Reporting used to be a respected profession and It was the job of the news agency and reporter to shoot for getting the facts and honest truth of what was happening and then getting that information to the public. Now it is an open battle of spin doctors who don't let the truth ruin a good story if the story agrees with thier political narrative. News agencies sell advertising and that's what buisness they are really in. Whatever shit thier reporters spew that gathers the most views the higher their advertising revenue. There does need to be some accountability or if the tales get to tall people will stop watching. This is why Fox dropped Tucker. Spewing too many falsehoods as fact will eventually get you fired although that bar is pretty high at fox.
  2. Leave the diff side alone. Just the snapring on the axle assembly and the hub will slide right off.
  3. I started early yesterday so I was a little more "Advanced" than usual when hitting the evening check on ratsun. It was a good thing though. The local brewery has a harborfront beer garden that overlooks the lobsterboats and bridges over the harbor. They have a large chiminea burning this time of year and the place is enclosed in plexiglass so it is warm (this is Maine). Anyways every other Tuesday is fiddleband night. Folks filter in after work and start fiddling away on a small stage. The circle grows as more people show up and they jam away mostly Irish tunes. There is probably 50 people watching which is a large gathering in Maine and every single one of them has a smile on thier face. This is like living a cheesy hallmark movie and my wife and I love it! We bitch and moan about how shitty this country is becoming but there are still some wonderful pockets of "civilization" out there. It's just getting harder to find.
  4. I think Farmer did this and had a hell of a time to get it to work. Correct me if I am wrong. The KAS manifold was a stock manifold for carburated KA engines sold in Central and South America. A 2 barrel intake but with equal length runners and no below intake level dip to pool fuel like the fuel injected KAE hardbody manifold. Fuel injection manifolds make shitty conversion manifolds because they were not designed to be " wet" inside. Fuel is injected close to the valve not running through the runners.
  5. I think him thinking his uncle being eaten by cannibals says it all. We seem to put the most fkd up people for president being a superpower seems absolutely insane to me. Both sides are an embarrassment. (Disclaimer I'm am a few IPAs in). Unfiltered truth!
  6. Wheel bearings are very sensitive to overtorquing. They heat up and then fail shortly afterwords. Just advice from an old redneck that drives all kinds of crap vehicles and has a halft dozen trailers so take this for what it is worth. Tighten bearing until slack is all gone and there is a slight friction starting then back the castle nut off a notch until friction is gone and there isn't anything but maybe the slightest amount of slack. Never had a bearing fail from overtightening since and this is how I have adjusted my 720 for the last 34 years. Good luck.
  7. In all honesty this is sad. Dudes obviously mentally ill and setting yourself on fire probably doesn't have any political affiliation but this is something else. Instantly labeling this guy for political affiliation really shows how we instantly blame ones political views on mental illness. Dudes in his 20s and has erased himself. That's fucked up!
  8. Well previous to all of this I remember the towers prior to 1995 dumped their shit directly into new york harbor. Build massive and worry about the fact that the infrastructure can't handle it later mentality. New York had 3 tug and barge units that loaded sewage and discharged it offshore. .
  9. There is plenty of room behind them but I have no idea how they would fit in a regular cab. I thought most of the regular cabs are bench seats?
  10. This man has nothing to with it attitude is what I don't understand. Not trying to be a dick but how does man escape having any impact on the planet? Get on Google Earth much or ever fly anywhere? Stand on some paved parking lot mid August then go wander into some trees. Notice a difference? Man vs no Man. I don't have a solution and in fact believe we will just carry on shitting in our own nest. Mine and my wife's life cycle will be over in about 40 years with no kids so We are hoping things hold out until then. No doubt we will see a lot of extinction and change by then. Hope my Florida house lasts that long.
  11. You don't have to be rich anymore. They are going cheap. https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/coastal-erosion-beachfront-property-prices-massachusetts/

  13. Yep. PFAS chemicals. Hormones and prescription drugs pass freely through sewage treatment. These get into every level of the food chain. Fecalform bacteria gets removed in treatment but the rest of the poop nutrients go on to feed algae and too much algae can cause hypoxia. Low oxygen levels which will kill fish adding more nutrients to the water which just creates a viscious cycle.
  14. I pretty much only believe what I see anymore and I see plenty of evidence we are fucking things up badly as far as our planet goes. At work, at home and when traveling. I live for the water and am old enough to see the complete destruction of the Florida keys reef system. Actually see it. I am in the water down there several times a year. Florida releases massive amounts of polluted water from lake Okeechobee creating massive algal blooms on both coasts and feeding massive red tide blooms on the west coast causing massive fish kills. It's funny to see people believe nothing is happening and there is no way people are causing it. I just lump those folks in with the flat earthers and Q anon group. https://www.science.org/content/article/after-mass-coral-die-off-florida-scientists-rethink-plan-to-save-ailing-reefs https://captainsforcleanwater.org/the-various-impacts-of-lake-okeechobee-discharges/#:~:text=The nutrient-rich%2C polluted water, experienced in 2016 and 2018.
