17 years old ... just finished installing a 396/Muncie 4-speed into my 1957 Chevy Wagon ... put on my new killer Cragar SS wheels with stock lug nuts  . Went for a spin and as I was going through an underpass I thought I'd like to hear how the new dual exhaust with Thrush mufflers sounded so I downshifted to second and tried to dent the firewall with my right foot. Right rear wheel flys off and richochets off the wall ... I do a complete 360 and come to a stop ... tire is still bouncing around ... jumps up and lands and stops on my hood.

Bought new correct lug nuts and replaced drivers seat.

I had a similar problem on my Weber. Inside the fuel inlet barb I found a small filter screen stuffed in there that was plugged beyond belief. Once it was removed the problem went away.

Also maybe check your idle air screw next to the accelerator pump ... take it out and stuff some carb cleaner through there. The smallest piece of debris can really make your carb mad.
