Ok, so the car starts up! But after it starts up and i press on the gas it dies. Before turning it on, i pump it some gas and it turns on... but just for a few seconds and it turns off again. I also found out that the rear bumper is not installed but its inside the car. The head lights don't work. I offered her 1.800 and she said yes. Daing... this car is going to take some work, even though the outside seems pretty much finished.

So i tried turning on a 1967 Datsun 411. It wont start, you can just hear it trying to. I tried putting some Carb Cleaner in it and was able to make the engine turn on for a bit, because it would then shut off when i pressed on the gas or it would just turn off by itself. So i looked into the little glass that the carb has, which says level, which was all the way at the bottom. Do i have to rebuild the Carburetor? Or what can i do? It also seems to leak from the bottom. Thank You.

I have passed by this car so many times, till now i decided to go see it. For my surprise its a Datsun WPL Wagon 1966. I talked to the owner, she said that it was getting fixed, but the guy who was fixing it ended up leaving and her husband bought a truck and lost interest. Its been standing there for over 5 years. I dont want to get so excited, so im asking you guys for advice. On Monday i will go over and see if it runs and to check out the electrical work. What i know as for right now: it has a new paint job, to be out in the sun for over 5 years doesnt seem so bad, its got a new Carb, and the inside is a mess. She asked for 3Gran but told me how much i would offer her, but i said i would think about it. What do you guys think?

How do you know its a PL. I was reading that P stands for "Power Up" and L stands for "left hand drive". Can you tell me what "j-engine" it was?

Well would have liked it if it was all stock. But there are always circumstances that won't allow it. But I wanted a 510, but they are expensive and an sometimes too modified. So I decided to get this little guy since I had the money and its good for family and friends, since its a 4 door. I'm not a mechanic type of guy, but I really like the old styles. My friends say I like ugly cars but I will keep on liking them. So, while I'm in school I'll fix it up. Lets see how far I get.

Hahaha I'm sorry, would it be the GUI? Jk, I meant the dash, where you see the speed limit etc.

This is mine. Runs but the HUD doesn't work nor do the tail lights. No seat belts but runs great. I like this little guy.

yeah its the one that was on craigslist. bought it for 2,000. I don't have that much Datsun experience, but I really like them. Mostly if the are original.

I bought a Datsun 411 in Tijuana. Seems ok but non of the dashboard light work and seems to have nothing original but the body. Seems it used to be automatic and swapped with a different tranny. Im not so sure if its a real Datsun engine. Is it still worth something?
