  1. not yet. still have it. $1100 o.b.o. if anyone wants it.
  2. I've decided if I can get some good money out of it, i'm gonna sell my datsun. pics are here http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v338/veritech231/Datsun/ It's currently safe in storage so I don't need to sell it, and not in any hurry, but if someone here is looking for a good project. I never did get it running, but i never had the time to really work on it since i've bought it. and me having to move means it'll be in storage for some 3-6 months probably. and i'd prefer it go to a good home if someone is interested. pretty much all i know is that it is a pre oct. 1968 datsun 510. it has a rebuilt L18 motor. (new plugs, wires, distributor, distributor cap, starter, fuel pump. possibly other things) Grant steering wheel. Front seats in really good condition. rest of the interior in need of some help. Extra L18 in pieces in the trunk. only big rust through is right behind the rear passenger side door, and some shotty bondo work on the front right of the hood. the rest of the body seems to be in pretty good shape for a 40 year old car. a few dents here and there. nothing too bad. Anyway. I'm asking $1500 o.b.o. hit me up if you're interested. the car is located in Utah and is responsability of the buyer to pick it up. (will obviously have to make solid arrangements with me as I have it in storage)
  3. do you have any vid/pics of your starion drifting? jus curious. lovin the datsun btw.
  4. here's mine. not super, but it's the cleanest lookin thing in the car. if i washed it it'd be really nice lookin
  5. just to tell utah guys around, that in the local parts yard. at Tear-A-Part there is a 73 datsun pickup. got the L16 motor in it and whatnot. most all seems to be there.
  6. Not anymore without their datsun. haha
  7. Yeah I got it out of ogden. I liv in riverton at the moment, but i gotta be moved out by the end of the month. i don't know where i'll be just yet.
  8. you are a funny man. very funny. but i think i'll keep this one. I have both the front marker covers, but one is broken. I don't have the side markers though. I understand it'll be quite a pain to get this all put together, but i guess i'm addicted to pain or something. must've come from all the spicey foods i ate as a child...... that and the beatings... lol.
  9. I'm way happy to have gotten it for only $500 too. Really a great find for that price.
  10. I have an extra L18 motor sitting in the trunk of my 510. that came with it. It's in pieces and I don't know what's missing or the condition of its insides. But if anyone wants to come pick it up, it's here for $50. just PM me for details. here's a pic. I'm located in Riverton, UT.
  11. sorry. wrong section. please delete.... man i feel stupid.
  12. Yeah. I was pretty happy to find out it was a '68. But it's going to be a pain to find some of the '68 original parts to replace the busted ones on this. (Like a good set of '68 tails, and the dash, etc..) The starter is brand spankin new though. I actually bought that right after i got the car because the old one seemed to be shot.. anyway. it's quite a project. I have a haynes manual, but i don't understand their wiring diagrams for shite.
  13. Hey thar! I got this a month or so ago. Still not running, sadly. It's my '68 Datsun 510 Sedan. has somewhat over 90k miles on it. Has a newly rebuilt L18, but from what I understand the car hasn't been started since it was dropped in. New plugs, wires, distributor, starter, fuel pump, and whatnot, all put in by previous owner. here's some pics. here is the photobucket album with the rest of the pics. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v338/veritech231/Datsun/ I am currently working on a 1960 chevy apache 10 i have, so i haven't had too much time to devote to this, but i'd hope to get it up and running soon. I went to start it and I noted the fan turned once and then the motor itself just wouldn't turn. I let it sit and tried a little later, and it did the same thing. and i've manually been able to turn it so I don't think anything is stuck. i just think that somethin may be up with the wiring, that there's not getting a good charge to the starter... Note: I have to start it with a screwdrive cause the part of the ignition you put the key in is gone... problem?? haha! anyway. IT'll be a fun project and i can't wait to get it goin. I wanna eventualy go CAT or KAT swap. but we'll see.
