  1. i got them last year and i believe there was only one remaining of each when i purchased them.
  2. I bought both fenders from rockauto. Driver side fender fit was great. But the passenger was terrible and pre-dented. I had to cut some of the fender support to get the fender to seat correctly. I also had to push the bottom of the fender further down and ran self drilling screws where the old screws broke off to make body lines match . It was a pain in the ass but it looks good. i had to grind support on backside of fender to seat properly I replaced broken bolts or misdrilled holes with self drilling screws 1/2 to 3/4 in length

    79 620 lift

i would like to raise the truck up a little. What is the best way of lifting the truck up about 2" without spending a fortune? here is the truck
  4. I bought both replacement fenders off rockauto.com for around $100 shipped. The driver side fender lined up and went on nice but the passenger fender required modification but it looked good when was done. Search for Nissan 620 as they don't have Datsun listed. Use promo code 6892D28E6E22 for 5% off.
  5. Yeah, The bottom half looked really clean but until i took it apart i didn't know also the truck sat for 10yrs. I intend to keep it and possible make it my DD. So a complete overhaul was in order.
  6. Got the title, I not using those rims i just needed something to put on because the tires. It has 3 buick hubcaps and 1 pontiac. I wish i had the originals. The paint is like a latex based paint i think (done by PO). I will paint it but i got hrs of body works first. I don't have any interior pics but will get some soon. As for the oil consumption. I pulled the head off and and oil was coming through the valve seals
  7. Waiting on rebuild kit Just came back from machine shop
  8. This project begins in a pasture on the back 80 (Acres) of a farmers field in the middle of nowhere. I was helping my father in law pick up a large propane tank he found on craigslist. When we got the house we talk to the farmer and was told that the tank was on the back side of his land. So we headed out to get the tank. After 15 mins of driving through old farm implements and old tires we came to the propane tank. We loaded it up and was getting ready to leave. Upon leaving i noticed a something red over between a old shed and an old tractor. Being someone who gets nosy when surrounded by acres of so called junk i had to check it out. it was a Datsun pickup. Being born in the mid 80's I haven't really seen many Datsun vehicles other than a couple of cars. I looked over the truck and opened the door and OH SHIT there stood two of the biggest scorpions i ever seen crawling in the door jam. After smashing them and looking over it for a few mins we headed back to the farmers house to BS before we left. On our way out i ask about the truck and was told that he parked the truck there in 2000 and its been sitting there ever since and when he parked it that it was burning oil like mad and he would be grateful if i just took the truck off his property. I got excited so i flew home threw the propane tank off and hooked up the trailer got the truck and brought it to its new home. I put a battery in the truck and sprayed some carb cleaner in it and also on a black widow that took up residence by the carburetor. Got inside the truck and gave it a crank and Vroom it breathed life once more. Got the truck running but it smoked real bad. So i decide to rebuild the motor, That is where i am currently at.
  9. I ended up buying the rebuild kit on rockauto. The kit was $27 closeout and there is 7 left if you might need one. I really appreciate all the help
  10. thanks for the info. I want to post pictures of the truck and rebuild but i don't know how to post pictures in the post other than through a link
  11. I do see motorcraft on side. I am guessing the Hitachi carburetor kit i ordered probably wont work on it. Any idea on were to get a rebuild kit?
  12. only info i can find is Eltra 8355 and r8942 but the 2 is stamped over with a 1 http://s1349.photobucket.com/user/cardkey98/media/062813_195300_zpse2681fd9.jpg.html?sort=3&o=11

  14. I found a truck in a farmers field and went to talk to him about what he wanted to sell it for. He told me that he parked the truck there in 2000 and its been sitting there ever since. He also said when he parked it that it was burning oil like mad and he would be grateful if i just took the truck off his property. So i took it home and after unloading it i put a battery in it spayed carburetor cleaner into it and gave it a crank and BOOM it fired (You got to hand it to the Japanese when it comes to build quality). The truck burns oil real bad. I pulled the motor to rebuild it but there is just so many signs that this may not the original motor I am hoping to get some help identifying the motor before i purchase the rebuid kit. The truck is a 1979 Datsun 620 king cab The block has U95, 89152, and M2 stamped on the block. The head has an w53 stamp on it. The plate on the fender says l20b. It has an aftermarket 2.5-4psi electric fuel pump and a plate where a mechanical one should be. Also is that the correct fuel pressure. I would appreciate any and all advice
