  1. I need a driver side motor mount for an '81 720 with the z22 and 4wd(if that makes a difference) I could also use an inside door handle( driver's side) for the same rig along with those plastic retainers that keep the rod in place. Let me know what you have. thanks, Joe
  2. 81 720 z22. parts store gave me 180 degrees with a jiggler but book says 170 degrees. Which is it ? Thanks in advance. Joe
  3. You mean the ground under the battery where the washer fluid leaks. Have to move that one over a little. Thanks guys I have been slowly making progress. A few more clean grounds and connections and 1 new bulb holder and I just might be in business. Joe
  4. where are the grounds attached? Each bulb has a ground wire and they all tie together and go back into the harness. What is the best way to clean out the sockets? I tried to scrape them with a jeweler's flathead but that didn't work too well. thanks for all your replies, Joe
  5. I wish it was that. all new bulbs.
  6. Hit the brakes and the right turn signal indicator comes on along with the dash lights. Turn the lights on and the right side tail lights go out when I hit the brake pedal. front right turn signal blinks the marker socket. turn the lights on and there is no right turn signal. I know it sounds confusing because it is! Please help. thanks, Joe
  7. I could use the driver side motor mount for my 81 720 4x4. Only reply if you accept paypal. It is just easier that way. Shoot me a pm if you have one. thanks a lot, Joe
  8. She runs...... and fairly well. Thanks to all who helped, I really appreciate it. joe
  9. so I made the block of wood for timing chain removal and installed it but it didn't sink into the timing cover very much. does the block need to have a full taper from end to end? 1 1/2 at the top to 1" at the bottom. 10" long. Sound good? should I pry the camshaft sprocket off with a couple of screwdrivers or is this a big no no. thanks, Joe
  10. that notch in the back side of the camshaft sprocket is about 8 minutes past midnight or maybe 2 or 3 teeth past the casting. whichever makes more sense
  11. When tdc comes up the #3 mark on the camshaft sprocket is a little to the right of the oblong groove in the retainer. I don't know if that helps.
  12. Side note:When I first got this truck, In order to get it to run I had to re wire the spark plug tower since the dizzy and the oilpump didn't line up. I put thengine at tdc and installed the dizzy. Where the rotor landed I put #1 Intake plug wire and respectively wired the rest. Well now I'm off to make a carb gasket. My local parts store didn't even have the gasket listed in any of their computers or books, The fun keeps adding up. thanks again , joe
