So my I decided to upgrade my gauges in my car and the first one I decided to buy was a water temp gauge.. so my question is what size fitting do I need to buy to fit the prob into my thermostat housing ? the one that came with the gauge was a NPT 3/8 and I am assuming that the threads on the car are not NPT. the car is a 1972 510 L18. thanks in advance!

well the easyist option seems to just tap a hole into the housing which should be no problem... thanks guys i do very much appreciate all your guys wisdom

So I was just curious for you guys who daily drive your 510s how hot does your car run? I drive my care about 15 miles to work every morning and them temp gauge stays between the M and the P ... if you could tell me how hot that is id be very thankful! thinking about getting one of the oil temp gauges from auto meter so I can let my ADD rest a little but I dunno where to screw it into the block... any help would be great!

Yea i tryed that i went and replaced all the fuses on the box still nothing i think i might have pulled a hot wire out somwhere now i have to go find out which one sigh...

hey another question if you guys dont mind.. so i took apart all the front grill today and I unplugged the head lights .. so after i cleaned up all the grill and such i go to plug in the head lights and now they wont turn on! maybe i bumped a ground or somthing i dunno, but I do know that the lights under the head lights do turn on.... im lost =/

And yes it is my daily but lucky I have an amazing gf who will drive me to work when down time is needed!
