Finished up my manifold, now Im going to start rebuilding my r1s.
stock l20 what main jet should I go with, I'm at about 5000ft elevation. I was thinking a 1.6 is where I would start.
Thanks
My car had stock lca and the bushings were at a really bad angle and very bad shape. Luckly I just pulled the front apart to install my t3 adjustable lca. I have no idea why the previous owner had it set up like that..
where do they need to be welded?? I have it all apart and can do it before I put it back together. Would be a real day killer at the next autox if i ripped those out..
I was taking a look at my front suspension before going to AutoX to make sure everything was looking safe. My car has t3 adjustable tc rods and the previous owner has them adjusted all the way in. Pulling the lca as far forward as it can. My question is what is the advantage of this? I was thinking it would give the car more caster. But along with that I feel like it would mess with the geometry. I just want to hear your guys 2 cents.
Thanks
I am planning on buying some adjustable lower control arms. I was just wondering what some of you guys have to say. I am very happy with my techno toy coilovers and TC rods so I was thinking about getting there LCAs. At the same time futofabs are aluminum and I was wondering if that is enough weight to make a difference. I am not worried about comfort just mainly performance and reliability.
everybodys 2 cents it welcome.
Thanks
I was finally able to work on my car this weekend.
When I checked for power I seem to get 12v on the positive side of the coil and the b terminal. Along with that though I have 12v at the C terminal and the negative side of the coil. That to me doesnt sound right. Does my matchbox have a short in it somewhere?
I thought It broke one of the wires too but I ohmed them out and everything was good.
I have checked the plugs and I haven't been able to see anything.
I have 12 volts at the positive side of the coil and the B terminal, along with that I have 12 volts at the C terminal and the negative side of the coil.
I was driving to a car show the other evening and while doing some spirited driving my car died. I knew right away I lost my ignition. When I got to the side of the road and opened the hood my coil had come out of the holder and was dangling. The positive side that goes to the dizzy had come off and was touching the negative side of the coil. I was hoping that it wasn't a problem and hooked it back up. Jumped in the car and it fired back up. As it was idling I was looking through my car looking for some zip ties or something just to tie it up to get me home and then it died again.. After looking for about a half an hour I couldn't find any other problems and with minimal tools I called the tow truck.
I have now checked all the wiring, coil and coil wire still not showing herself. I thought it was the coil so I tried one I had laying around and still nothing. So here is my question. How do I go about checking the matchbox itself? Ohm it out? what should it be?
or is there something I'm missing I have 12 volts to the coil and it stays while cranking.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Ratsun about a year ago I bought my first dime and I figure It is time to start a build thread.
Here she was when I picked her up
She already had Techno toy tuning coils front and rear
l20 with a 5 speed
15x6.5 equips
As you can see she had been in a little accident bent up the core support pretty bad (It wasnt her first accident either)
Soon after that I picked up a parts car with a clean core support and I was going to graft the core support onto my car but I couldnt bring myself to cut up a decent 510 coupe.
So instead I decided I would build my own.
other then that so far I have been just driving it as much as possible gone to a couple Auto X events .And after a year I am now totally in love and its time to step up her game
Future plans:
Get rid of the equips for some 15x8 wheels with fender flares.
R1 carbs
T3 adjustable LCAs
Slot the X member or
New exhaust
Role cage/bar (not sure which yet)
Clean up the interior a little more
Corbeau FX1 seat
and anything else I can think of :D
here are some more pictures
