  1. I will be picking up a 72 datsun 620 single cab here in the next few days. I have actually owned the truck before and traded it to a buddy and am trading him back for it. It is almost 100 percent rust free and in awesome shape. From what I understand it is somewhat of a rare options truck because it is an automatic and has the under dash a/c. The automatic is where the main problem with the truck lies. The flexplate is worn out and the starter doesnt catch all of the time. I have looked for a new flexplae but I have been told that they are no longer available. I have acces to a parts truck with a good 5 spd manual in it and was wanting to make the swap because I plan on driving the datsun alot. I know that I am going to have to swap the pedals and put in the clutch master cylinder. My biggest question is does anyone know if the driveshaft from the auto will work with the standard? The parts truck I have access to is a kingcab so I know that it wont work. Hope that you guys can help
  2. whats up? i d like to c more of ur truck? if i kan

  3. If anybody want the rockers off of the truck I am willing cut them off of the truck.
  4. Sorry that I haven't responded to anybody, My computer has been down for about a month and I have just gotten it back. If anyone is still interested in anything just let me know. Here are some pictures of the truck.
  5. Pretty sure almost all of the chevy/gmc truck wheels will fit. You will have to either machine your hubs down or have the centers bored out to fit over the stock hub. I have run cadillac escalade wheels(eskies) on both of my datsuns.
  6. I have one that I bought for parts and am willing to sell everything off of it. Let me know what you need and make me an offer. I have some pics and can take pics of anything that you are interested in. Bed is sold, and have someone possibly interested in the dash. Hood, front bumper, valance are all no good.

    My Datsun

I have a parts 520 at the house, I can check the gas tank out for ya and see if its any good. If you still need one. Sweet truck and keep up the good work.
  8. My buddy has an 80 720 King Cab. We just rebuilt the carb on it and now it wont run over 50mph. It runs good up until then but cuts out about 50. The carb that he had one of the butterflies was locked up on it, so we took the carb off of a 77 620 that I had and rebuilt it. Any suggestions? Both trucks have the L20 motor on them and the 77 was a cali. truck(egr, cat)
  9. Here are the 18" escalade wheels that i'm running on my bagged and bodied 78 620 KC The 17" eskies that I had on my 73 620 You either have to machine the hubs down or bore out the centers to run either wheel.

    What's it worth

I have a guy wanting to buy the bed off of the 520 that I just pulled out of the JY. Its a parts truck so I'm not gonna be using it. I was just kinda curious what its worth. The truck has no rust, a few little dings is overall pretty good. I don't wanna try and screw the guy, I know that good beds are hard to come by, but I'm not gonna give it away either. So I was wondering what the going rate for a good bed was? Thanks
  11. Well I went to parts world today in roosevelt, OK and traded my 84 datsun/nissan 300zx(wrecked) for a 520 with a ford V8(I was told that it was a 260 but i'm not sure). The truck is in pretty good shape body wise except for the hood and front bumper/valance. Suprisingly the truck has no rust on the body, the floorboards have a little but thats no big deal. The previous owner put a huge trans tunnel in it(way too big). Anyways these are the pics right after I got it home. I'm gonna clean it up and take some clean pics later.
  12. Here are the pics, the trans tunnel is way overkill.
