So about 6:00pm tonight I was in the house in the A/C it was 107 today, when I heard a loud bang.
Sounded like a m80,we have plenty of kids setting off fireworks around the neighborhood.
Didn't think much of it but I went outside checked the house and the cars checked the garage you know just checked things out. Nothing was out of place, and went about being lazy on the couch
About 10:00 my wife asks me if I was doing any painting, I said no! But she insisted she could smell paint.
So I go in the garage where my 510 is, and I can smell paint real strong. I turn on the light and I see black paint blown across my garage door. I was thinking crap!
As some of you know my 510 is a original paint garage find that's in the midst off a 2+ year engine removal and engine bay repaint, but I have been real lazy and life gets in the way etc etc etc
So when I see the paint one the garage door I get the sinking feeling, of damn there's going to be paint
All over the car. So I go to inspect and no not a single drop hit the car. Or anything else. I collect vintage R/C cars, slot cars and hot wheels , so the paint can was in my cabinet and when it exploded it blew the door open the door hit my hayashi,s and didn't allow the door to swing all the way open so the force was forced to the side up an down,so on top off the cabinet sits 4 of my vintage R/C cars plus display case of my slot cars,to the side was my display case of all my redlines. Not one drop hit anything except for a drop or two on my tires on my rims that were stacked in front of the door ,the ceiling got hit the floor and the garage door but nothing else.
I dodged one today, something's telling me to get back to work on my car. but just a heads up, if you have spaypaint in the garage this is a chance you are taking, luckily that one was in a cabinet
Thx
