  1. I figured they were junk. :o I gotta work on that junk man mentality. I have a lot of junk taking up space... Thx
  2. I pulled my 71 pl510 from a barn a few years ago - she sat there 16 years. The really great news is that she was completely stock - including the original factory "wet" strut pistons. I put Tokico HP inserts on the car when I restored her. I am wondering if anyone is interested in these? Are they just junk or are there some real purist out there who might be interested? If you are, they're free to you except for any shipping charges!:) I can send you a pic if you want to see them
  3. The L-series SSS manifold uses the 2 bolt carb (like on a 1600 roadster - 38mm) Here is one for sale - http://www.datsunlandsocal.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=17_37_40&products_id=343
  4. Sorry - my failing memory messed with you - the carbs are 4 bolt to manifold - Sorry!
  5. I have a pair of the carbs you are looking for - currently on a PL411 manifold with linkage and everything. I can separate They are original and will definitely require a rebuild. I have never run these. Email me if you are interested - I can send pics. You can make me an offer. They ain't pretty but they are all there. (a bit cleaner than the pics of the roadster 1500 carbs.
  6. Looking for a manifold for a set of Mikuni Solex PHH 44s. I want to put these on a L18. Would be great if linkage was present. Also would like to find some carb mounting isolators Thx Joe
  7. Research is definately what you need to do. I would be concerned with the rust. What you see is only 10% of what is really going on. Tip of the iceberg as they say. Considering the repaint, I would bet there is bondo (body putty) in more than one spot. Bring a vinyl magnet to check out the likely rust areas (lower fenders, dog legs between door and rear wheel, rear wheel arches/lips, lower front valance by turn signal lamps, rear deck under hatch, etc). Looks like the hood emblem is missing (and holes bondo'd over) perhap due to a accident? The nose of the Z is longer than you think and you can't see it when you are driving (a really good thing) some people tend to smack it into things...:P I suspect he had the evil square top/square mouth hitachi carbs on this before he moved to the hitachi SUs. I think the sqaure tops cut in to production late in 1973 and lived on thru the 260Z until FI came in on the 280Z. Charging problem cold be bad regulalor (fiugre $35)...looks like a fairly new Alternator in the pics. Interiors can be $$ to fix - no pics of that... I would say $800 is a fair offer.
