  1. any thoughts or opinions? I'm still having problems. I can't keep the car going now without the pedal to the floor.
  2. I pulled the plugs and they are very black (they were brand new a week or two ago). I cleaned them up and it fired up and was able to maintain a higher rpm but still ended up stalling The car won't idle at all now though and I have to keep it floored in park just to keep it going. The idle-cut solenoid is working, but its getting power from the throttle opener connector...not sure if that'll matter! Concerning the throttle opener...is it necessary? I currently have no power going to it and all nipples plugged just incase. I also have plugged the EGR just encase its faulty...should I be doing something about power to it also? I'm going to check my fuel pump but I seem to have lots of gas going into the carb. I got luck yesterday and picked up a haynes shop manual at a thrift store for cheap yesterday so i'll take a look in it today. (they had tons for many different datsuns if anyone wants one)
  3. G'day! I've been having problems with my b210 and have decided to tap into the resources here at Ratsun, eh. Problems started soon after I purchased the car. I've replaced the coil and plugs so far. It was running great after this (plus being timed) but its gone south. Its having a lot of trouble idling once the choke is off and has very poor acceleration. Its also backfiring and i'm curious how to adjust the mixture. I'm low on funds and can't afford a mechanic so i'm attempting this on my own..which is why i purchased the car anyways, I wanna learn! I've started replacing the vacuum lines but have ran into a snag. The anti-dieseling valve electrical connector isn't working and the electrical connection for my throttle opener solenoid broke off right near the base. I've done a little reading and i've come to the conclusion that this part(throttle opener) isn't really needed. (the part that the electrical connection is attached to, with the vacuum hose going to the air cleaner had the hose plugged already when I purchased it) So i've taken that connection and attached it to the anti-dieseling valve and made sure it was working...which it is...but i'm still getting no idle. Once i've replaced all the vacuum lines i'll get back to you guys, I just wanted to hear some other reasons it might be doing this!
