  1. so i figured out the wires via an online, had to replace the starter because it was worn ( never buy a duralast starter for the A series, i had t grind it down a bunch to clear the block) okay so getting to my point, she turns over really well now, but wont start for me, its really cold here so i didn't know if there was any tips/tricks for first start in cold on a carbed car? tried starter fluid, pumping the gas... she wants to start but wont stay running... if it helps i have duel side draft dellortos and open header right now, havent gotten the exhuast on yet. thankyou
  2. i do like the idea of adjustable ride height because i would like to run hillclimbs/do track days eventually. As for the 280zx big brakes, my concern is pedal feel and stopping power with the manual brakes I'm setting up for carb clearance (dual side draft dellortos). Also, thoughts on lowering the rear? or just stiffer rate cut springs?
  3. So for starters, yes i do have the 280zx struts (two pairs actually) but the calipers i have for them are shot, and the disks need replacing as well (which i plan to do this winter) the ride height is rather high for my taste especially considering how gutted the car is. I didn't know if it would be at all practical to cut the spring perches and run the 280zx ground control coil over sleeves on the 210 struts with split collars ? the strut tube diameter is the same but i noticed that spring perch on the 210 strut is much lower than the 280zx. Any thoughts on this would be helpful!
  4. yeah my bad, auto to manual. this is what i believe to be the former auto transmission harness, traced the reverse lamps to a green/red and a red/black from what i remember last night. Im also rather confused by what the last 3 wires are on this harness? perhaps i have the wrong on but i don't believe so?
  5. I'm currently wrapping up a manual to auto swap on a 210 that was started by the previous owner (blownb310), now everything is in place but i need to tie up the neutral safety switch in order to get her to turn over.... and that's where i have run into an issue. i have the portion of the harness that should have run to the old automatic transmission, but i am unsure which wires need to be bridged. i have both a 79 and 80 shop manual that have both proved useless thus far. i have a picture of the harness but am unable to upload it
  6. So first off, love this forum, an its been awhile since ive been on here having sold my 73 620 two years ago. But Datsun's are definitely an addiction of mine, so i just recently purchased another. need to get the neutral safety switch bypassed to get it out on the road.
  7. anyone know were to look for a fender?
  8. thanks for the JC Whitney tip, found a valance there too. Not tooo concerned with it looking like it "should" as i was also thinking about going with Z series side mirrors. The Nissan replacement fender i have seems absolutely fine, did find a couple of the driver side OEM ones but they want an arm and a leg for them. thanks for te heads up on those as well, i will try to avoid them. The Ebay latches are cheap so i might give them a shot.
  9. the only latches they have availible on that site are not NOS. but that doesn't help with the fender and grill issue
  10. i found this site awhile ago, but i have a hard time justifying the price on their latches and mirrors
  11. So first off let say im new here and this is my first post. I recently bought a 73 620 short bed and have begun the slow build process. Fortunately the bed on my truck is virtually rust free which is unheard of of any truck i NH. Unfortunately though I am in need of a few parts that I cannot seem to find. For starters i need a drivers side fender, bolth fenders are rotten but i have a brand new NOS passenger fender that came with the truck. I also need a front bumper and valance, grill, side mirrors and tail gate latches. Any pointers as far as where to look for parts would be fantastic. Thankyou
