thanks guys! pretty much ive made up my mind on doing a 1JZ-GTE vvti build and will be doing a write up/ progress update on it. my friend knows his way around the jz's so hell be helping the whole way. im pretty pumped on the whole idea, ive seen very few of these builds (but i have seen them so it can be done) its going to be solely for track, etc. so. any info on this build that anyone knows would be helpful. but, i dont wanna hear ifs and maybes cause that just leads to fuck ups. haha itll be a budget build so no critics

for starters i got a early 79 280zx about 2 and a half years ago. didnt run(well) but, looked clean and everything was there. to my surprise there was alot wrong and over the course of practically 2 years ive gotten to rollin, raging and looking alot better than the stock junker i had. about 2 months ago it was stolen from a junkie down in evergreen and he roached most the interior and took it offroad running form the cops. ( not to much damge to the frame or externally but the clutch is fried and the ive lost 1st and 3rd. multiple injectors smokin etc.. pretty much he jankied it up pretty good. long story short my junk runner was out of commission untill a few days ago where i was able to get her running semi. again. going to do a right up on the restore and mod to my danger machine once more. going to keep it low and quick as possible with still keeping the bolk job of the six in it. strippin, custom dash etc.. interior will not be the same as it is now pretty much lol some pics before it was stolen :( anyway. really looking into a 1jzgte swap. so if anyone has any insight on it, free to spill your beans
