Oh yeah, make sure you have the exhaust mani levelled as its most likely warped. Mine was bad.

I just went through the same thing last month. Not fun extracting those broken studs. Nissan sell beefed up replacements to correct the issue with the first and sixth studs breakage.

^^^Exactly! I could care less that its a plumbing part. It works and thats whats important. It keeps this beast roaring.

So my air regualtor (AAR) stopped working and after a failed attempt at trying to repair it I decided to think outside the box for a replacement. I needed something I could adjust idle with so I went to the local Home Depot and bought a ball valve from the plumbing department and put it where the old air regulator once was. My broken AAR was giving me a fluctuating idle and this replacement fixed that issue in a snap. I can set the idle to whatever I desire by turning the valve. I know its not OEM and looks outta place but it works and thats whats important to me. I may paint it in the future to blend in more but for now its staying as is. Whats important is that it works like a charm!
