The morning of Datslocos I met up with Sergio (bluebird coupe) and Daniel Wu (Tanto) at a coffee shop in Oakland along with my friends Peter (gold 280z) and Naveed (silver Fairlady).  We rolled together from there to Manteca for the show.  Unfortunately I didn't get pictures and the drive was so fast (150kmh) I wasn't able to get roller shots.  At the show a gentlemen wanted to shoot the cars so I got a few when that happened.  I took my 2 year old son with me and he had a blast but unfortunately his 3rd birthday party was that afternoon so I wasn't able to enjoy the show at all.  I literally didn't look at any cars and only picked up some parts before I had to leave.  Next year my goal is to have the 510, Hako, and Fairlady there......

So I FINALLY decided to do something about my antenna since I purchased the factory replacement some time ago..............

I was very bummed I could not finish SHAKOTN in time for Datslocos and the night before I decided I would finally tackle the antenna and install the factory drivers side fender badge I had.  Well it took a while to get the panel out and ready and when I started installing I realized it would take MUCH more time than I had so I put the ugly black one back on..................except I only reinstalled the base LOL.  Basically I need to make a bracket and with the tight space I didn't have the time to do it properly so I gave up.  Anyways here are some pics I took.......look at that BEAUTIFUL original red paint under the panel

So I ordered some parts I need for the 510 before I tear the motor back down to the block to replace the head gasket and surface the head.  While waiting for parts I started tackling the small things again.  Here is a pic of my Watanabe Falcon steering wheel and horn button mocked up.  I bought this wheel for my hakosuka but while I wait for that car to get done I thought it would be nice to run it in the 510.  I bought the wheel and had it recovered in black Alcantara with red stitching and center stripe.

I also removed the stickers from the drivers side 1/4 window:

In addition I finally replaced the hardware on my SSS coupe fold down rear seat and fabbed the upper mounts to work.  I still need to adjust them a little bit and modify the door cards to fit but I am very happy with the result:

What kind of transmission are you running ? if its not stock what is it out of ? thanks

I forget what the number is but it is the desirable Nissan 280zx 5 speed with the overdrive 5th gear.  Since my shell was stock automatic the hole lined up perfectly.  No cutting required  :)

sounds like the belt is loose. I assume the oil pump was primed.

On my yellow car I had it would only start if I choked it NO GAS. 44mm

My 40s I just pumped and starts right up no choke

where is that carb.maifold port tube going from Number 4 runner? I see it now the brake master booster

As for cheap plug wires I like the blue NGK wire set NE64

TSI automotive sell those Nice Denso gearreduction starters like 225 sent(same ones TroyErish sells on the 510outlet for 289$ partnumber 202

Car looks Beuatifult with the wheels/ stance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

belt was loose....was tightened after that video.  In other videos the whine is gone.

Oil pump was primed.

Yes to the brake booster, now clamped down

Spark plug wires I am going to replace with NGK or at least better ones

The starter is a gear reduction just doesn't look that great lol - all my money is gone now

Thanks man!  Looking forward to finishing it in the coming weeks (except interior, will still need carpet and seats recovered but I am in no rush on those as it doesn't affect drive-ability)
