Maybe a raffle to Ratsun members.

Just gotta make sure they put in the classified section.

#1508499 14" tires are they still made?

Posted by KELMO on 07 August 2017 - 07:36 AM

Also, maybe search some Mini Cooper sites......found some 12" tires for the 1200 several years ago (I think they were Falkens....damn CRS, can't even remember the site I got them from).

Went back to page 49 & 50 just for a quick look.....the oics there didn't work.  Kinda bummed cuz that is where the puppy oics are (I think).

#1508164 Buried in your Datsun or bequeathed?

Have thought about this occasionally and am not really sure.  Buried in it like Willy the Wimp (Stevie Ray Vaughn song)....uh no.  I have no kids so uh, no.  Maybe a niece or nephew....oh fuck that.  Maybe a museum....well, I should do something pretty soon as I am no spring chicken. Cough, wheeze, cough.

#1507692 Opinions on fender mirrors?

Posted by KELMO on 03 August 2017 - 10:57 AM

OK, I'll chime in....what the hell.  While I do like my fender mirrors, I still do the check over the shoulder as I would with door mirrors.  Are they safer? I doubt it. Do they look kinda cool? I think so.  But then again, it is my car so there.

Now I gotta go get me some 12" tires that I can stretch, an engine brace (for a 1200.....bwahahahaha), and figure out just what "Hella Flush" is.  All this time I thought that was what happened after my morning BM.

Typically it runs between 50 to 80 cars.  It fills a pretty good stretch of Route 66.  The show runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm and after 3:00 they do the raffle and awards.  A lot of people from California and Arizona show up and then some from Nevada, Utah, and maybe Colorado...Oh, and the 4 or 5 of us from New Mexico (not really new, not really Mexico) and let's not forget the one guy that actually IS from Mexico that shows up every year.  Hell, RickRat even showed up once.  Roadsters, Dimes, and Z's make up the primary attendance but there is always something cool that you don't get to see every day....had a Kenmari and a GT Skyline show up last year and I think a Sylvia (?) the year before.  The truck attendance has been growing also.

1200's, 411's, B210's creep in every here and there too.

I have been to every show since this started and have had a great time at all of them.

EDIT: You said you were thinking about flying down for this. Commercial or General Aviation?

#1506082 Weber 38 Outlaw or 32/36 ??

Posted by KELMO on 27 July 2017 - 08:48 AM

Looks like OP didn't start a new thread, just asked close to the same question in a thread I started 5 years ago. B) FWIW, have had the 32/36 on my 1200 since shortly after that thread and have had zero issues ( well, other than ones I caused and had to use lawn mower parts to fix....but that is another story).
