  1. That OZ car looks interesting, although I'm not a big fan of the ZG nose.
  2. If I did that it would almost be riding on the bump stops. I need to section the strut tubes to get more suspension range. When I installed the ZG flares I cut the wheel openings a little to high so now theres a lot of clearance between the tires and the flares. I suppose some day I might lower the flares so they look better.
  3. It's been a while since I posted and I've done quite a bit of work on the Z, figured I'd post a picture of the new paint scheme. What do you guys think?

What dates will this be taking place? I have access to a car trailer and the Victoracers are in a state where I'd be willing to sacrifice them to a few burnouts at the drag strip. Wheelman

Kyo, My parents live in Moses Lake. :) Thanks for the complements guys, I've put a lot of work and love into that car and we've been through quite a bit together. My plan for this coming auto-x season is to run my 240SX and finish off the remaining body work before the rust eats it away. Actually there isn't a lot of rust but whats there needs to be taken care. Yes, you gotta LOVE that V8 rumble!!! :)

Where are you located? If you get a chance you should come auto-x with us sometime, our next event weekend is Mar 21st and 22nd. I won't have the Z out there but it's still a blast. Wheelman

I'm running Toyota 4x4 calipers with stock rotors in the front and completely stock drums in the rear. I think my real problem is the pads/shoes are cheapo Schucks parts. I figure if I move to some higher end pads and shoes I'll be fine. These calipers produce a LOT more clamping force than the stockers though so even different pads may not eliminate the lockups. I want to replace the rear drums with disks, just haven't had the chance yet, probably after this coming season. Not sure I'll be posting pictures of the 210, it's not my car and needs even more work than the Z. I'm reworking it for some friends who bought it for $300.00. The prior owners had cut a hole in the roof to install a sun roof but never completed it, instead they screwed on a piece of plexiglass with RTV to seal the hole. I've welded in a piece to fix the hole but in the process found out something big had fallen on the left side roof at some point. Whoever fixed it did a pretty good job, the filler was very thin and it was almost impossible to tell it was damaged until the bondo came up after I started welding. It's amazing how far that heat will travel through thin metal. So now I get to redo all that work as well as all the basic maintenance the car needs. It's a good thing I like working on cars, otherwsie I'd give it back to them the way it is. :) Wheelman

I'm down a little power wise from Clive but yeah the power to weight ratio for my car is roughly 9.2:1 at the rear wheels and 7.69:1 at the flywheel. :) It's tough to get FTD when you're running tires that don't have good grip, plus my club has some very good drivers running some quick cars. There are 4 cars that swap FTD most of the time: An SM2 C4 Vette, an SM 240SX with SR20DET, a CS Miata with an unreal driver and an ESP Mustang Cobra. I was able to run within a second or so of those guys with the Victoracers in good shape so hoosiers should really help. I also need to improve my driving and do something to improve my brakes, they have a tendancy to lockup if I get on them to hard. Wheelman

Yeah I'm from the Tri-Cities, live in Kennewick just south of 10th on Underwood. That's my craigslist ad, looking for B210 parts. Seems most of those cars have met the crusher or something, parts are a little hard to come by. Thanks for the comments guys and yes the car is a real beast to drive. That video was before the accident when I was still running street tires, it was much more of a handful then. This last season I ran 265/45-16 Kumho V700 Victoracers so had better grip but still managed to spin it a couple times. Next season I plan to move to Hoosiers, might actually be able to pull a "Fast Time of the Day" with them. :) Wheelman

Ok, here is a picture of the beast. I call it the Pheonix because I've rebuilt it twice now, the first was the initial drivetrain swap, the second was after I slid it into a curb auto-xing on Labor day weekend 2007. Wheelman

Yep, same guy. Guess I need to track down some pictures and get them posted. I suppose I could post an old auto-x picture or 2. Wheelman

I'm new here, ran across the site while trying to find some parts for a 1974 B210 I'm doing some work on for some friends. Anyway I own a 1973 240Z with the following Mods: (Please no V8 swap haters) 1995 Chevy LT1 and 5-speed transmission LT4 hotcam High rev valve springs Custom tune in PCM Dynoed at 275 hp and 307 ft/lbs torque at the rear wheels 3.54 R200 Clutch type Power Brute LSD 300 ZX Turbo CV axles 1999 Subaru Forrester Power steering rack 2001 Camaro fuel tank Coil overs 250 lbs/in front 225 lbs/in rear Tokico Blue HP strut inserts MSA sway bar set (1" front 7/8" rear) The body is in rough shape but I've installed ZG flares to cover the 10"x16" rims. It's primarily an auto-x car but is still street legal. I don't have any pictures to post (it's to ugly anyway) but here is a Youtube video of an auto-x run from 2007 when I was running a different set of rims and street tires. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Azjf_6PF2uo Whelman
  13. I'm looking for the following that will fit a 4-door 1974 B210: Ignition switch assembly or steering column. Trunk lid lock cylinder and mounting hardware Air filter and as much of the hose and tubes that go with it as I can get Or a complete intake system with all mounting brackets and hoses. Windshield (this may a tough one to ship) Complete wiring harness That's all I can think of right now. Let me know if you have any of these, the price and shipping cost to zip 99337. Thanks Wheelman
