  1. My 70 510 has a rebel wiring 9+3 installed by the previous owner. I swapped the 510 and am working on the wiring. I have a alt. exciter wire that went from alt to fuse box with the l16 motor. It's on the same circuit as ignition switch accessory. I'm assuming the power supplied at this circuit is from the alt exciter wire not the ignition switch accessory? At least on this fuse box, all the power looks to share power on each of the three circuits.. I'm running a stand alone ecu with a wiring specialities harness/fuse box so the rebel fuse box will be a "auxiallry" body harness standalone with fuses. Do I splice into the wiring specialty connector at the alt and share the same alt exciter wire? Don't have a battery to test power.. maybe time to bring the power probe home from work..
  2. What are people using for a 1970 510 blower motor wheel and resistor? Resistor is still intact but has seen better days and the blower motor wheel is cracked on top.
  3. What brackets are you guys using for your Ron Davis radiators for the 510 sr20 swaps? I can't come up with much unless you just get some U shaped metal and bent it and put a pad on one side of it for the sides..
  4. If the guy before me didn't jb weld the valance I was thinking about putting a few washers so the valance would come out a little but then I got to thinking the fenders wouldn't line up quite right and I'd hate to put everything on spacers lol.. Hopefully other people can chime in with ideas..
  5. Gahhhh... I was afraid of that.. Not what I wanna do.. I don't have a front bumper maybe if I cut the valance and put a bumper it won't be as noticeable.. Hmm..
  6. I tried to test fit them in my 510 and I only have maybe 1 1/4 of an inch from my radiator to my pulley.. I grinded down the inside if the valance about a hang an inch and the fmic seems to stick out past the top part of the front of the car where the good latch connects to.. I figure if I got the radiator to fit flush against that I would have room for fans which is my next question... I've been looking for fans and spal seems to have one that's 52cm which calculated to just over 2 inches which I still don't have room for... Do I need to cut the too of my valance off? I'd rather not for looks but for performance and reliability of my sr20 it seems like I have to.. Help is appreciated!
  7. maybe it will be finished someday...
  8. Is it the same to the stock 510 distributor?
  9. Just put the 15/16 MC on and it leaks. I had the double flare but can't remember the thread pitch. Anyone happen to know what thread pitch it needs? Thanks!
  10. Looking for some gauges for my 510 with a sr20. I haven't bought any aftermarket gauges and was wondering what brands to look at/stay away from? I've heard good things about auto meter, but wanted to make a post before I make any final decisions. Thanks!
  11. I can't tell from your last post if you checked the tire. But if it was sitting for a long time, it will get a flat spot on the tire and you will need to replace it (I saw they were new, but not sure if it has been sitting). Look at it from the side when you spin it and from the rear. Some times you just get a bad tire ( I work for a tire shop and see it all the time)
  12. You sir, are the man. I really appreciate it!
  13. If anything, I would think that the bearing hub needs to be moved since that is the slotted part, and the cage just holds the ball bearings.
