  1. Hey Jason, I'm glad you're happy with it. I really like it too, it's pretty unique. The Japanese nickname suits it perfectly "kujira" means whale. Honestly though I didn't really know what to do with it either. It'd be sweet to put a modern motor in it, but it's not really built to be a race car. This guy has the the 5M turbo in his crown really sweet. But in his other video you can see how in handles like shit. Still 14.24 in the the 1/4 is a pretty solid time. If I had unlimited funds and a team of mechanics, this would be what I'd do with it. And that picture from JCCS, the fast back and white wagon are owned by the same guy. He has another silver coupe with no power plant too. I talked to him a couple of times over email. Seems like a good guy. The fastback is so sexy. Anyways again I'm glad you're happy with it Jason, and if your ever need a hand doing some work on it don't hesitate to gimme a call. Also I'm a floorlayer by trade so if you want some new carpet in her, I can sew that shit together no problem.
  2. That'd be me with the crown. The wagons are a little odd as far as styling goes, I prefer the coupe/sedan. There actually a coupe for sale on craigslist http://vancouver.craigslist.org/car/434552866.html I'd think about buying that, but it's a little outta my price range, I personally don't think it's worth that much either. I'd pay maybe 3000-3500. Very rare, but rare doesn't really make it desirable.
  3. Jason I'd be willing to swap for something, I don't really have too many spare parts though. How about a 69 510 1600 Valve cover? Or I could just pay for it too if you want?
  4. yeah I'm interested for sure, if he's coming up here this weekend I could arrange to meet him somewhere, or maybe it could even be shipped on the grayhound? I sorta need it ASAP, so if he's not coming this weekend, i'd be willing to pay for shipping if no one has one locally. Let me know, thanks.
  5. Need one bad, anyone got one?? mines too fucked to get recored and I need my daily driver back.
  6. this would be a sweet find don't this they ever came to North America
  7. Hey Shady I may be interested in that wagon, if it's the MS65 bodystyle. You should snap a couple pictures of it from the street. Or is it in Mission? Because I could swing by after taking some pics of the other crown. It's in Port Coquitlam So that's like halfway to Mission already. Although if I didn't get it, I know a guy in So-Cal that has a wagon that he needs a parts car for or vice versa. I don't know the condition of the one in Mission, but it might be better than the one he has. His Wagon
  8. Hmm I might be convinced to take it to portland. That's like a ten hour drive from Vancouver, texas is like 20+ probably.
  9. lol there's crowns showing up all over the place:D. If only I could find an old Mazda, maybe an R100 Yeah, I'll give the guy a call this weekend and take some better pics...do you want to contact the seller to arrange payment? Or how do you want to do this?
  10. Hey datsunfreak, I'm gonna pass on it...So if your interested see what kind of arrangements you could make for getting it shipped. maybe Shady280 can give you a hand. I could maybe take some better pics though too so you know what you're getting into, it's not a perfect car. I have a 5mp digi cam that will show the imperfections better. if I was to rate it out of ten... Body 9/10 interior 6/10 chrome 7/10 (no rust, just dull and pitted) Runs good, doesn't idle well when it's cold. But runs super nice when it's warm. I could take some video of it running too :D
  11. yeah unfortunetly it's not the hose thats leaking. where the bell meets the rubber at the top there's like a joint between the two piece of metal...New hose didn't stop the leak, it looks like the ring piece there's some corrosion so it's not getting a proper seal, I figured that this piece was model specific, so I didn't think I could walk into napa and expect them to have it instock. The one I pulled off the spare carb is a totally different setup, but adaptable. But yeah you got my point anyway something super small could go wrong and you might not be able to deal with it. Sorta suck to spend $800 to get a car transported...But realistically it's probably about the same to pay for the gas down there and a plane back...Also sucks to spend it on a car that's probably worth about the same as the shipping cost.:P
  12. How easy is it to import a car from Canada to the States? I know it's not bad for us bringing stuff up from the states. Also a car carrier would probably be the best way to go I think...I can't really guarantee that it's going to make the 1500 mile drive to texas. It seems to run very well...but anytime to get into driving a vehicle that's been driven very little over the past 10+ years you're sorta asking for trouble...These things are rare to the point that you could break something on the way there and spend two years looking for a replacement part. for example after getting the gas tank for my 72 back from the shop on friday and installing I found this the fuel line going into the carb was leaking right where that bell shaped piece meets the rubber...I'll never find another one without buying a whole new carb. Thankfully I got a spare carb and a bunch of other parts when I bought it.
