My 2c. Get er fixed if you want it. Most shops will pull the head and change gaskets for around $300. Shop around it doesn't hurt to ask. I will recommend if the head is coming off might as well have it reconditioned. That usually runs from $100-$180 depending on machine shop. Again shop around. Seems doing it yourself, although will save you $, may not work out specially since you've never done it before and it sitting while you try to figure it out may be an issue, plus the possible damage to the motor if done wrong. Again my 2c, good luck to ya.

Some things were missed, as he said racing fuel cell was added along with holly fuel pump, holley high flow fuel filter, holley regulator and all new fuel lines with pressure set at a steady 3.5lbs. So no secondary is needed, and SU carbs it came with were not in the greatest of shape so tuning was near to impossible. And yes adding a third is better than two for many reasons, but for this car tuning for road race use is the main reason. But as my two comrades before said. WELCOME TO RATSUN.

First of let start by thanking those who showed up. Was a pleasure meeting and hanging out with all of you. Unfortunately it was a small turn out of 5 cars. As said on my prior post I would like this meet and drive to continue I will gladly continue to plan out different runs and meets but need to hear from all interested, not only a commitment to show up but what at is that everyone wants to do. Ok so for this run lets meet up at Wendys on Lincoln north of Santa Monica Blvd. We will be rolling out no later than 9:30am please try to be there by 9am, from Wendys parking lot right to SM Blvd right- Ocean right- California incline left to PCH and head for Neptunes net. I plan on meeting some twists after lunch, all are welcome to join or part ways. Hopefully we can all take a little time and talk about future plans to keep this thing going. Well plans are to meet in SM possibly pier parking, trying to find a better spot TBA. Run PCH to neptunes for lunch maybe make a stop or two for pics. After lunch for those interested a little drive thru the twisties on way home. All in all short and sweet.

Alright so update, this past Sunday to a drive around the Santa Monica area in close proximety to PCH and the pier. Found a couple of spots we can meet get a cup of coffe or bfast. A few places but parking was a bit tight. Buddy of mine who lives in SM gave me directions to some places he thought would work. So plan on taking another ride this coming Sat, let you guys know how that goes. . Glad you got er back looks great, hope you will join us the 27th.

Damn, the dissapointment with the lack of envolvement colourbox is obvious and understandable. It's three misses for me due to circumstances out of my control. I would be willing to set up the next one, I would hope you are still willing to attend. Although I missed some I will be there on this one come hell or high water. I know PCH to neptunes has already been done so unless anyone has a different suggestion I will start with that. Start point can be the pier parking as previous or alternative meeting spot can be set. Would like to find a place where a meet and greet can be acomplished over a cup of coffe or something. Will start looking for a spot with plenty of parking. Lets start hearing from everyone interested. If this turns out to be just me either way I will be there. If interested I would like to hear from ya specially on the day prior. Lets keep this thing going, would hate to have courbox attempt to get this going be just a waste of her time. So the next one would be Sunday July 27th say 9am. If time is an issue for some let me know. My hopes are that this becomes a monthly thing even though I have yet to make one. I personnally had bad luck the last two times I said i'd be there, first time had a ball joint brake on me, the second time had the fuel pump go out on my daily driver I had no choice than to fix so could'nt make it, with that said I was hessitent to say I would go this time out but if no issues arise I will be there and so will my bro.

Well not trying to sell you on it but I can tell you its fuction is worth its look. It helps drive heat heat out of the engine bay I witness this in the mornings as the winshield clears up quickly in the middle. I dont mind keeping it just dont really need the weight loss or heat extraction on a automatic stock truck.
