  1. thanks for the help guys. probably going to pick up S10 in the spring if i can't locate a 620. Or maybe a D50. I still be on the look out for a datsun though.
  2. very cool score. wy can't i find something like that. Only a beat up one 4hrs away for $1200. dang
  3. found this while searching the net. It's located in Alberta about 4 hrs from me. here's what the seller has to say about it. 1976 datsun 620, most of the bodywork is done, its in grey primer, brand new 16" wheels, new tires front and back, still got the nubs on them, and a second set for the back too, its a bench seat and a standard tranny, its lowered 2" in the front and 3" in the back, recently had motor work done, the head was sent out and rebuilt and now it doesnt run, i checked it out, no compression on cylinders 1 and 4, im guessing that the shop that rebuilt it screwed up or the guy i bought it off put it back together wrong, this truck has a lot of new good parts in it and would be a great project for any aspiring mini trucker! im looking for 1200 bucks. So is it worth the drive? I'd have to haul it back here also since it needs work to get it running. looks like it will need rockers
  4. No! This is general for sale forum everything goes here doesn't matter if it's car or truck related. I wish they had a truck only sale section.
  5. can't wait to see some updates

yes i'll scan it asap. Gotta run to the wrecker to get a heater fan for my caravan. Might not be till tonight after work though.
  9. Mike thanks! I actually probably know the guy that owns that Datsun in Irvine. I used to live in Medicine Hat. the guy i'm thinking of from irvine used to have a kc. they owned a truck wreckers there. My old 620 was actually bought in medicine Hat before i moved to Saskatoon. Made the trip from the Hat to Saskatoon no problem, them it got stole from my parents yard or was halled away. Was wierd because it was sitting on blocks.LOL! I live in Saskatoon though now. am hoping to find one a little close to here.

The ultra truck issue is Fall 1988 only issue of Ultra Truck I have also. the mag with wasserman's wonder is Hot Rods Pickups and Mini-Trucks issue 8 from1980. I have 9 issues of that Mag. Notes: I have photos of 4 of those trucks from runs I attended. The picture 10 down is the same truck as 14 down. It was owned and built by John Todd and called Blu-by-You. I have a photo of it with the shell in navy blue metallic before the re-do in photo 14 with the graphics. The same shop that built Wasserman's Wonder ALSO built the Golden Greek and Loabaration Blues. Look closely at the airdams. Al Helurud did all of that fabrication at Vini Bergeman's Kolor Me Kustom shop. # 15 down is actually orange and not red. It was built by Eric Thorsen, who attends JCCS now in a "goon". Eric has gone on to do interiors for the show Overhaulin'. He told Me that My Datsun SS inspired His idea to somewhat copy My frontend, but welding in a stock front bumper. This is how I might change Wasserman's Wonder in the frontend now. His valve cover was built by Steve Coonan. A pretty rare find now. I have an ad from them. On Night Stalker, I will be adding the ever popular (during the 70s) sidepipes that a lot of trucks ran to Wasserman's Wonder. I just got them last month off of ebay brand new!! Cool item on this truck is that it has Gullwing windows. I can scan the complete article but it may not show that great on the edges as the Mag is a square glued spine not stapled. I don't want to break the spine. #3 down was John Bonar's Spank Me, but I have never seen it with just pinstriped flames. When featured in Mini Truck Magazine, the flames were painted, not pinstriped. I love the polished Daisies rims!! Not many guys ran them as they were a pretty high $$ rim back then. Blu-by-You ran them too. That was the way it was........... these are "later" features as more and more guys were throwing lots of $$$$ into Their trucks. Shortly after these pictures were taken, most guys tore off all of Their fender flares and spoilers and rebuilt Their trucks with airdams and skinny rims. These are classic late 70s views. I wish You guys could've seen all of those trucks!!!
