Hi guys! Quick question. Might be the lamest one ever asked here, so here goes: Had something happen to me the other day when I was in town, never happened before, my dang starter just fell out! Ha! No notice or weird sounds, cranked good that morning, got to town, parked, came back out, nada, went and looked and had a are you kidding me moment.... I cobjobbed a block of wood between the starter rear housing and the engine mount, got it to crank well, no grinding, and got home. So I need new bolts, but have no idea what size they are, sorta need the exact size, head size, length, pitch, etc.. Truck in question is an 81 with the sd22 diesel. Its not my daily driver, because I only drive around once a week to go into town, but it is my regular driver then, so need to make sure I get it fixed soon, not trusting that block of wood to keep working. thanks in advance if anyone knows!
