  1. Hey Jesse, the roof was a total wreck, hence the spare roof has been following this car around. The passenger rear quarter panel, just in front of the tire, needs a big patch panel, the seam around the trunk/truck floor was starting to get a bunch of bubbles and the were was spot rusting on floors (10% coverage). Aside from the rust, the car was a greatly daily for me for the 3 years that I drove it. The suspension mods made it quite fun to drive and many people on the Realm will be able to vouch for its agility from our many canyon runs. If you can get the car for $3-4k and are able and willing to do the rust repair, then I would say go for it. At this point though, the seller has some lofty goals so you'd have to wait him out. Still want the pictures? Adam
  2. That was my car until October 2013, I wrote that long for sale ad. And incase anyone had any doubts, the car is not worth $8k, it was barely worth the $3k that I got for it. It seems that the current owner and the guy I sold it to originally are trying to work the market. Adam
  3. I didn't see anything in the Wilwood catalog that would bolt up a Dynalite pattern caliper mount. They do make a parking brake caliper but it's for a radial mount. http://www.wilwood.com/Calipers/CaliperList.aspx?subname=Combination%20P-Brake
  4. We were planning a quick meet/run on Saturday morning...that's about it.
  5. Way to keep with it, I've been been on the road over 75 days this year for 4 different tdys, so I know the feeling of being away from a project. Congrats on getting though flight school, stay safe up there.
  6. Any one have a suggestion for a run in January?
  7. I grew up in Socal, from birth to 18 and then joined the Air Force. My first base was in South Georgia, just a little bit of change. Everything moved a little slower and there was a ton of open space compared to what I was used to. From there my wife and I moved to the island of Terceira, Azores, Portugal for two years and returned to Socal in late 2009. If I wasn't in the military and working in a comparable job in the public sector I probably wouldn't be living the same way. The general populous/politics has convinced me that California is not for me, Socal at least. They are so dependent on hand-outs/eco-weenie/damn near socialism that I just don't have enough confidence that it'll be a stable place to live. I don't think I rely on the outside world for stimulation or motivation, so the lifestyle isn't a factor. I'd like to try and live somewhere in Norcal but I think we'll end up somewhere in rural WA.
  8. Five new pictures to the VC Fun Run album. We only had 3 cars but the driving was fun and we didn't have any issues on the road. Everyone plan on something for the middle of January! VC Fun Run
  9. Nothing fancy, just a quick meet and run through the mountains between Valencia and Palmdale. We're meeting at the gas station on the corner of Decoro Drive and McBean Parkway at 0700 and aim to be on the road by 0730. Here's the route, http://tinyurl.com/cv4gqt7
  10. The Ventura County Corvair club is hosting an auto-x event on Sunday, 23 September 2012. It's not my event, just sharing some info about it.
  11. I have all of the above problems on my daily driver. Cheap lowering springs on stock from 1973 front struts = lots of noise over bumps. Before installed the RCA/bump steer spaces and bring the LCA down I was getting contact with the sway bar and frame rails as well.
  12. That was my first impression. But after seeing it for a while it's grown on me, if nothing else it's worth it for the light output. I just need to fix the front suspension now so it doesn't bounce so much!
